Since this topic is on Deepika, please she was not that different in any of her roles. Maybe the costumes changed, but otherwise it was the same old, same old expressions. But it is also true we have dearth of good actresses in bollywood. Better actresses in south indian film industry. She was also so expressionless in Padmavat just like a mannequin dressed in expensive clothes.

Deepika is a limited actress and I feel she is doing her best. Step up her game? Sometimes she cannot rise above her limitations but that's not up to her.

Compete with Kangana? Nah..she can never. She isn't in that league. Only a Vidya, only a Priyanka, only a Rani, only a Madhuri can compete with Kangana.

Deepika is a decent actress. But not of their league.

eww HNY is such a crap movie. Her role is ok though and is the only good thing about the film.

Actors and stars are born. Cannot make. She is what she is..it is irrational to expect her to raise to the level of Kangana.

Madhuri was and is a limited actress. Dancing capability and success, yeah, she had plenty. Also, there is a certain warmth about her that is extremely appealing. But where acting is concerned, she cannot be placed in same league as Vidya, Priyanka, and Rani.

In fact, I'd say DP is what Madhuri was.

I find Kangana Ranaut as a mediocre actress and had Deepika gotten the script of Manikarnika, then she could've pulled the role way better that her. The way Kangana screamed at the movie trailer got on my nerve. Kangana is capable of doing some specific types of roles only (e.g. crazy roles that she did in Tanu Weds Manu and JHK), while Deepika is able to take much more varieties of roles despite of the limitation that she has.

The girl just needs to do more work with diff actors.

She needs to stop working with the same ppl. Like rk and RS.

Deepika is done and is following foot steps of Kareena just watch she will be doing one film per year and ahista ahista fades away and return back hosting nach baliye
