Chapaak will be a litmus test for Deepika

I think next year Chapaak will be a litmus test for Deepika. Solo movie, no big heroes, different subject...if it works, there's no looking back for her. Not only that, she is making her post-marriage comeback to silver screen with a gut-wrenching acid attack victim's tale title, which makes it all the more impactful.

Do you guys think Chapaak will be a milestone in her career? If it works, will people attribute it to her stardom? Will she be able to make it big after a 2-year hiatus? Will the old debate of her stardom v. her acting open again? I think we can safely say these questions will be answered on Jan 10'th, 2020.

I, for one, am looking forward to the movie! What about you guys?

Shes already disappeared for me! So many other girls to look forward to. Shes going the Bebo way after marriage which is fine and good for her. But now shes out of the race

Acting wise maybe.. she has given it considerable tym and may open up to other challenging roles.

her stardom was always there and shining, even when she starred with multi-star cast........

baaki this is as much a test for her haters, just like every RS's movie is for his.........

And I think she will fail spectacularly. Clash will further decrease her collection.

If the movie is well made it will work. Deepika is a well known name so she will attract more audience but the success of the movie shouldn't just be attributed to her. The litmus test for her is how well she performs not the BO numbers of the movie.

I maybe wrong but there is a downfall to married actresses. The only actress who can survive after marriage are the ones who have talent and give powerful performance example like Vidya balan and of course Konkona sen is a successful director. In the old days it was people like Sharmila who gave great movies that was successful after marriage and kids.

If the film flops, the blame will go to DP😳

I dont think she is as famous as once was personally. As for litmus test. Well she gave Piku with Irfan and Big B. If thats not stardom
