"Audience has been waiting eagerly for the announcement of a yesteryear blockbuster’s remake. The project is being helmed by one of the savviest female directors in B-town with the best contacts, who has been stating that the script is taking time. However, the truth is that the film is facing too many issues and may end up being shelved. The original movie had starred a mega star and revolved around brotherhood and bonding.
According to reports, the remake rights of the movie are apparently tied up with different parties. Also, the producer-director, who was said to launch the film from his production house, is apparently throwing too many tantrums. He wants the team to work for peanuts and if anyone opposes him, they are told that they won’t be given the money they ask for because he has a record of delivering super hit films and that is enough reason to work with him.
Adding on to all of this, another reason that the grand launch of the film has been pushed further is due to the lack of super stars. While the director approached many top actors, most of them turned down the offer. In a desperate effort, she approached one of her dearest friends from the industry, who is the scion of one of Bollywood’s most well-known families along with being highly talented and versatile. However, the actor had promised himself that he would never act in a remake that his father had starred in earlier and regretfully explained the situation to her, backing out gracefully.
