Kabir Singh lands into legal trouble. Doctor filed a complaint!

Shahid Kapoor’s latest release Kabir Singh has received mixed reviews from the audience and critics. The actor left no stone unturned in performing the character of Kabir and many have accused the character of being sexist and misogynist. Meanwhile, some are loving the film and they can’t get over his performance. Apart from the latest release, the actor has also performed intense characters in Haider and Udta Punjab.

However, a CBFC member, Vani Tripathi has criticized the actors who chose to perform in such movies. Taking it to her social media, she wrote: “I’m serious about this thought that Misogyny is “Infectious” have been noticing the narrative around #KABIRSINGH past few days..What a terribly misogynistic and extremely violent film! Arjun Reddy was bad enough and now this remake! Am I surprised it’s doing well …Well Well!”

The film is being allegedly roped into controversy for the portrayal of its characters and the storyline. The film narrates the story of Kabir Singh who suffers heartbreak and goes down the path of self-destruction and self-pity. While Shahid plays the titular role in the movie, Kiara Advani plays his romantic interest.

In another tweet, Vani added, “I find it baffling that “Big Stars” make these choices who actually lead by Example! As the Cinematic journey of the country has gone beyond its “Traditional” Women as “Eye Candy” routine. Can we remember how movie characters are idolized? #StopMisogyny #KabirSingh.”

“Someone asked me after my last post what’s wrong with an Actor choosing a role? Dear pal, there is never a wrong or a right it’s the choices that you make on the screen to portray is what defines who you are! A character is only a piece of written paper if not enlivened by an actor!” added the CBFC member.

So far, looking at the box-office numbers, it seems as if the audience is loving the film and it has already crossed over Rs 70 crore in just three days.

Although, now a Mumbai-based doctor has filed a complaint against the makers of the film for putting doctors in a bad light.

According to the doctor, the film has distorted the image of a doctor. The complaint states that doctors have been put into a negative light and shown in a negative manner in the film.

Previously, Singer Sona Mohapatra had slammed the film and tweeted about the same. She wrote, “& how can we keep such deeply disturbing, dark & dangerous politics ‘aside’? Does the actor have no responsibility for choosing to play a part in a narrative that can set us back as a society? Is that all we have become? Creatures of ambition? #LetsTalk #India #KabirSingh.”

ain't one. Leaving the politics of the film aside, it's a brilliant portrayal. In every frame and owned each of 'em.

As if they are out of this world or doctor's degree gives them sainthood 🤔

Ab isse bhi muft ki publicity chahiye. As if they are next to God and Untouchables

Albeit more they try to downgrade the movie, more money it's going to do churn. I guess some of the haters are also flocking just out of curiosity now.

I am not gonna put any blame on Shahid, cause he was just doing his job........ but If the portrayal is that disturbing then I will definitely question the makers about it........

and about choosing which character to portray.... all celebs needs to be aware of that.........not just a few....... if one is questioned, others should be questioned too........
