A movie only succeeds if has good script, director, main lead actor/actress and supporting actors.

What is a good director without a good actor and wiseversa.

Shahid had always been a good actor can do comedy and serious role very well. I love his movie Chalte Chalte , he was so good.

Why some people behaving as if shahid is the biggest reason for the big hit and belittle the director?. You say shahid is always a good actor and naming movies how his acting was incredible so why didn’t people went to watch those performance oriented movies of his??? To watch his incredible acting? Haider and udta Punjab most people ain’t even know those movies the only one people remember is JWM and kaminey.

Sandeep Vanga already managed Arjun reddy to make it a big hit. There was a good wom for that one and Vijay turned overnight to a Star thanks to this movie. Take every other decent actor and it would have still made the numbers. There is a reason why sandeep does a remake of his Arjun reddy and chooses different actors. Funny thing is the actor didn’t matter it still is a range so you got your answer who is the reason why it’s a big hit.
