Absolutely a proud moment....Regardless of BO numbers, he is one actor who can claim to have always experimented and played edgy roles that too with total conviction...It’s about time such an actor tasted some BO success too!👏👏👏

Well so many actors are neither alcoholic nor drug addicts. The point was there is nothing in such portrayal per se, don't take it on Shahid.

People tend to take such scenes as great acting- kya cigarette pi hai, bottle pi li...

Every time I think Shahid is finished he emerges like a phoenix and reminds me of his talent and worth!

The Punjabi film Shaadaa has taken a historic opening with huge occupancy of 70-75% in East Punjab and that too with a huge release. The film will be competing with the biggest openings of Punjabi films and it looks like will beat them all.

It could be that the film beats all the records of Punjabi films by a huge margin if the collections keep on going at this rate. It could also beat the opening day records of films like Bahubali - The Conclusion, Thugs of Hindostan and Bharat in the cities of Punjab like Amritsar, Jalandhar and Ludhiana making it the highest collecting film ever in those cities on day one.

The film has been released on around 500 screens in India on around 375 theatres. It has 300 screens in East Punjab and around another 200 screens outside. Its likely to be all time records for Punjabi films wherever its been released. The record holder is Carry On Jatta 2 which did business of 3 crore GROSS on day one across India
