Celebs can’t stop praising Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh

Kabir Singh starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani has hit the theatres today. A few special people from the industry had the chance to witness it a day before its official release. The makers of the film hosted two special screenings of the film last night. Soon, the celebrities who had watched the film, started putting out their views on their social media accounts. Everyone from Karan Johar, Neha Dhupia, Nikhil Advani, Ishaan Khatter, Mira Kapoor, Jaaved Jaaferi, Milap Zaveri, Manish Malhotra, Rajkummar Rao and many others were present. The film is being criticised for being misogynistic by certain sections, however, Shahid’s class-apart act, has left the audience speechless.

According to almost all reviews, Shahid has given his career-best performance in Kabir Singh. Kiara too aces her act of a meek and docile girl.

I haven’t seen #ArjunReddy so the pain of #KabirSingh ripped my heart out. The director Sandeep Vanga must have lived this love story I feel to portray it so powerfully! The actor who played the best friend was simply extraordinary as was @sureshoberoi sir! @ArjanTalkin super too

Shahid doesn't do any of those, so if it looks real it's actually good acting.

I am in two minds to watch this. Suchitra's review highlights the problematic aspect of the movie. I don't think I will like it if I watch 😔

The wiki synopsis of the original one is ewwww enough. I don't understand why Indian film glorifies this type of men when women safety is such a big issue in the country. R they incapable of writing decent male characters? The no of Arjun Reddy type hero in Indian film is so much higher than the the no of Aditya from jwm type characters. I hope guys don't start imitating all this from the film now , already streets r full of chichoras n stalkers
