Kabir Singh Box Office Collection Day 15: Shahid Kapoor's film roars loud on Friday despite new releases

Shahid Kapoor's Kabir Singh is giving tough competition to new releases such as Malaal at the box office. Kabir Singh has already beat Salman Khan's Bharat and might go on to surpass Vicky Kaushal's Uri in the coming week.

Latest Bollywood film Kabir Singh has turned out to be the best trending film of 2019 in terms of the box office. The movie which opened to a massive Rs 20.21 crore at the box office and went to earn Rs 70.83 crore in its opening weekend, collected Rs 213.20 crore in just 14 days of its release, is still the first choice of the moviegoers so much so that it has delivered its third Friday collection in double-digit. The Shahid Kapoor starrer has scored around Rs 10 crore on Friday, taking the total Kabir Singh box-office collection to Rs 223 crore in 15 days of its release, according to early estimates.

In its first week, Kabir Singh raked in an impressive sum of Rs. 134 crore and added Rs. 78 crore in its second week (currently running), pushing the total to Rs. 213 crore, reported trade analyst Taran Adarsh. In a recent post, Shahid Kapoor shared on Instagram,"Thank you for understanding him, forgiving him, loving him with all your heart. We all fall apart. And we all must strive to rise from our faults... He is flawed, so are we all... The most flawed character I have ever played has become my most loved."

Kabir Singh continued to so very well on its third Friday with business of 5.25 crore nett apprx. This takes the business of the film to 215 crore nett which makes it the 12th highest NETT grosser of all time. There is a 20% drop from Thursday for the film while the drop from last Friday is 55%.

This will mean that the third week trending will not be as strong as the second week especially as India will play a big cricket match on Tuesday or Thursday. The plus will be that Kabir Singh will be down in the 3 crore nett or 4 crore nett levels at that time so even if its a 50% hit by the match the loss is 1.5-2 crore nett.

The film is now looking to do lifetime business of around 275 crore nett which would meant the ninth highest NETT grosser. If it can get above 282.50 crore nett then it would be the eighth highest NETT grosser ever.

The second week numbers of Kabir Singh are the seventh highest of all time after Bahubali - The Conclusion, Dangal, PK, Sanju, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Tiger Zinda Hai. It comfortably beat the second week of Padmaavat which was 66.53 crore nett. The business of Kabir Singh till date is as follows.
