Finally watched it - Shahid was brilliant no doubt about it! I loved the back and forth with him and his bestie, they were the best part of the movie. Kiara looked pretty and they had such great chemistry but the only criticism I would make is that it just seemed like she had no personality even if we had to paint her as introverted or shy, they could have given her more dialogues.

I just feel they could have done without that slap, like WHY was it necessary. Also the ending was kind of rushed, like i would have liked a longer conversation between them but all in all I liked the movie a lot.

Kabir Singh recorded the 7th highest second Friday of all time after Bahubali - The Conclusion, Dangal, PK, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sanju and Bajirao Mastani. The last named had a national holiday on day seven while all the others are 300 crore nett plus films which shows the sort of films that Kabir Singh is competing with in week two.

The other film to have a huge second Friday was Avengers - Endgame which did around 11.60 crore and was in the same range as Kabir Singh. But the footfalls of Kabir Singh far exceed the footfalls of Avengers Endgame on the second Friday.

It is unthinkable that a Shahid Kapoor film is doing almost 12 crore nett on its second Friday when most will not expect that sort of figure on day one for a Shahid Kapoor starrer. The film does look on course to the biggest Shahid Kapoor starrer beating the figures of Padmaavat. That film did around 9.50 crore nett on its second Friday and Kabir Singh has beaten that by a margin. The first week was only 9 crore nett less than Padmaavat and it could cover that in week two to have similar numbers to Padmaavat after 2 weeks. The top second Fridays of all time are as follows.

1. Bahubali 2 - The Conclusion - 19,81,00,000

2. Dangal - 17,84,00,000

3. PK - 14,52,00,000

4. Bajrangi Bhaijaan - 12,56,00,000

5. Sanju - 12,09,00,000

6. Bajirao Mastani - 12,00,00,000 (Holiday)

7. Kabir Singh - 11,75,00,000 apprx

8. Tiger Zinda Hai - 11,55,00,000

9. 3 Idiots - 10,54,00,000 (Holiday)

10. Padmaavat - 9,47,00,000

11. Dhoom 3 - 9,42,00,000

12. Simmba - 9,02,00,000
