I just watched the movie. I liked it. It was a good love story. It is not misogynistic, not as much as is made out to be. Just because Kabir is a rough and reckless guy who intimidates people, his actions and words are taken out of context to make him out to be some kind of a disgusting guy. Acc to me, there were 2-3 scenes which I thought were unnecessary or just plain wrong. His slapping Preeti, even though she slapped him a lot of times in the movie, was wrong because I didn't see any strong provocation for it even for his normal nature. Then the scene where he pulls out a knife to that girl in the beginning. That was totally wrong. He was desperate but it sends out wrong messages to rapists and their ilk. And then when he kissed her the first time. She didn't protest yes, but I think they had interacted very less by that time and he couldn't have known that she would be okay with it. So, those three I thought were either timed wrong or plain wrong. Otherwise, most of the other stuff was understandable acc to the situation or storyline.
The ending was sweet and Kiara is looking so innocent and pretty, I hated when she cried. She did a good job. The female lead is not a doormat and not weak at all. She does have very few dialogues but that is how it is so I don't mind that. Kiara did a fab job. Shahid, I was a little disappointed with. Only a little though. He was great but could've been better I thought in a few places. Overall, the acting in the movie was good.
It is an A RATED movie in caps. I would recommend not go with your family unless you're extremely comfortable with them and open. I recommend it well enough.
