Indian English is an actual thing. English is no longer just a British/Australian/American variety. Indian English with its own accent is an actual thing. One doesn't have to speak American English in America. Its great if they can but in a very diversified America it's no longer a need. They can speak Indian English and that's valid. But there's no British Hindi. One has to be speak Hindi,Bihari and literally all regional languages in a specific way. Katrina has had enough time to master it and I think she is finally sounding not-firaang.

But even if I consider your point Indian accented people pick up British and American accents like it's no body's business in a matter of months. Our ever thriving BPOs are proof of it. They train in months and pick it up because their job is on line. Something she hasn't completely achieved in more than a decade. A speech coach of Hindi should be on the list of priorities of an actress in a Hindi film industry. Guess hers was not. Strange anybody would defend this lol.

Your point doesn’t even make sense. It’s not like English is something other than a language that Indian English is okay. The reason people are more tolerable with different accents in English because most people have immigrated to countries speaking English. They know not all can master the original accent and so they have become to tolerate different accents. Something which hasn’t happened to a Hindu language country where they have few different nationalities coming, so they still expect them to speak Hindi like the natives. And Kat is one of those few. It has nothing to with what you are saying.

She can't speak Hindi blah blah blah... I challenge any transplants in the US to speak English perfectly with no accent.

She's white, no brown lineage. Yeah, enough said.

She is a cheater, men stealer blah blah blah... If only relationships are so black and white.

She is so fake, look at jer plastic face. Hmmm, how many female celebs do you know with no work done???

It’s not even that. It’s just pure racism. Nothing else. I remember readings posts here many years ago on how we should support our own country girls and not outsiders in reference to Kat.

SH is funny, but I think her comments are genuine. Many times I feel so tried too to reply especially because I hate arguing, plus it’s very useless as it’s not like we change others’ mind most of the time and because I am lazy too. This time too I didn’t want to reply to AntiCritic and just wanted to say something very short or put an emoticon. But then thought she will reply back and say what do I mean and so on. So I had to reply

I think my point makes complete sense lol. Even if you don't consider Indian English accent as a valid thing which it is, the fact that they say desis can't get American and British accents as transplanted newbies is entirely laughable because here in India we have people speaking in both and mastering them in months. British Council and American centers are a prime example of this effort and BPOs too. People have had perfect British and American English accents here within months. Like I said, their job is on the line so they got to. For around 10-12k they master an accent. Katrina could have mastered Hindi too if she actually wanted to lol. Its been over a decade.
