no idea, but I think they wanted to have a bleak and bright effect. Kota is a place where many come for IIT JEE type inspiration, while for some it gives the bright future, for others it is bleak. Although the series is possibly the most positive web series, I have seen from India, so my theory can be wrong, without spoiling it, just to give you an idea, unlike others web series which has exaggerated violence and abuse, this one doesn't have one, apart from one scene using the word ''bhenchod'', and few ghantas, I don't think it has much abuse, mostly it is clean and normal.Originally posted by: GhayalParinda

Its really really good. Haven't studied in kota but from comments in youtube I think most of what is shown is correct. And about the black and white thing, there were two theories.. one, they wanted to bring something new , something that catches the eyes and makes people curious about it, and two.. student life in 11th and 12th is black and white.. extreme pressure to study, get success ,etc with little or no time for fun (colour ).
Everything about the show was so nice and so relatable for any student who has studied science stream. The rant about Inorganic chemistry was 😆😆 the friendship, student-teacher equation, and the little love story was so heartwarming. Hope there's a season 2..we deserve more of such series than soty trash from Kjo's stable.

Haven't seen the whole thing, yet to catch up on last few episodes. But I think they are only promoting their sponsors Unacademy, which actually wants JEE aspirants to not go to Kota 😆
