The story is that this big-shot producer is trying every trick in the book to avoid releasing his next film. Apparently, he’s in advanced talks with streaming platforms, negotiating a straight-to-service release. Word on the street is that the film has turned out to be ‘not-so-extraordinary’, and he prefers to avoid another splashy flop.

It's either Drive (Karan Johar) or Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar (Aditya Chopra). Both companies have seen flops lately

That last sentence and using phrases like “not so extraordinary” and “splashy flop” might be references to Kalank and SOTY2. My guess is this is about Dharma and Drive.

I saw SSR fans on Twitter literally begging KJo to release Drive.. be what may.. since last year.. and still no sign of it.

Last week Supercinema released a blind that said Adi is contemplating to shelve the movie without releasing it on any platform... Since kjo has a deal with Netflix, easier for him to be in advanced talks to get Drive released on netflix as well.
