Hmmm it feels like when Aishwarya would sign majority of her projects with hubby Abhishek post marriage.

If '83 rumour is true, then that would mean 3 out of her last 4 films would be with Ranveer. That's all her (Hindi) films from 2015 to 2020 except 1 (Chhappaakk) are with her husband.

It's fine, because they rocked in BM and Padmavati but I hope it doesn't affect her future choices (like how Aishwarya rejected Dostana and Happy New Year for her hubbz).

OT: Is the movie revolving around professional life more or personal?

Most probably ( strictly my assumption) DP had rejected the movie at the beginning since her role wouldn't be long or much important to the central story.

But now that other than Chhapak, she is mostly free & can see herself getting slowly out of the race, she perhaps changed her mind. Being a part of this project itself will be prestigious plus her own husband as co-star is a bonus point.

And hence..... earlier na na now haan haan

So no denial yet...surprising.

It wasn't for RS fans..they do not want her in the film and they already dislike her so why would her PR bother about them. She is hurting the Deepveer shippers with RK association so even if this is fake news it is for Deepveer shippers since they are her fans too.

Sab toh film PR nahin ho sakte hain, koi na koi film toh sign karegi hi. Dekhte hain what comes out to be true.

Over the last few years,DP has not made a false move.People judge HNY,But she owed Farah.She got a fun role-best in the ensemble and some good songs,dialogues and dances..and it was a superhit.

XXX is paying dividends . She got to do a role,she would never have got a chance to do..and work with some top people.Film didn't work.Some films don't.

She will sign a film keeping her brand in mind.Everything she does has to be inspiring.

She needs to do only one film a year.She is earning from the brand/image she has already created..I think she has learnt from the west.Actors don't need to work like they do in India.Angelina Jolie is a star irrespective of hits, flops or the number of films she does..

Anyway she functions at a level,even I can't imagine.

We will know soon.

Good for whom? Not for her fans who fell in love with Deepika the actress. There are only so many ads and fashion events she can attend and all of these are fleeting. It is films which last in memory and not what she wore at Cannes. It is doing films which will help her maintain her stardom.

Virat has those brands and money to invest in his ventures cause he plays cricket and is damn good at that. The day he starts declining in his prime occupation that is cricket, all these ads and the external inflows will also reduce. The same applies to her.
