Wow! If this is true, do you know how much money this will make for DP's production company? This could be HUGE! Good for her, thinking about the long game. Plus she gets to be with her husband! If they actually beefed up the role for her, this is great! This seems like a fantastic deal all around! Good luck to DeepVeer!

Some fan groups are super predictive.😆 Ngl, I was one of the few who did not want them to do 83 solely because if they do 83 together, chances of them working together again so soon afterward is slim and I so wanted DeepVeer to do Maneesh Sharma's next which is rumoured to be a romcom. But I'm happy even if they do 83...But some fans meltdowns are hilarious. Kat is not an A-lister in what world? Being Kat admirers to justify her casting and to reject DP's casting itni beizzati of their fave. I bet if DP had signed an ensemble movie with a certain other actor some would justify that her role is pivotal.

Most neutrals will love to see DeepVeer onscreen. They are pretty popular outside the social media world and they are hit jodi onscreen.

I think their teams are keeping her casting a secret (if true) on purpose just to get these entitled fans off their back. Both their teams must be privy to the nonesense some fangroups tweet on a daily basisOr they were trying to pull off what Rohit did with Akki's cameo in Simmba (keep it a secret till people watch the movie FDFS) but someone on their teams or 83's team can't keep a secret it seem. What a lovely surprise it would have been to see DP onscreen unexpectedly. *sigh* Now it is better if they offically announce.

83 could have been directed by anyone,and the lead actor could have been RK,SRK,HR or whoever.It would have made no difference.

It is not a role DP fans are going to wish for.

I highly doubt that this news is true.Foreign media too use google to get their news.

If she has indeed signed the film,there will be good professional reason to do it.I will not question her decision.She always knows what she is doing.

Ranveer Singh is likely to board a flight to London on or around May 23. From the last week of May, the Bollywood superstar begins an 85 to 90-day schedule in the UK capital for Kabir Khan’s ’83. The Gully Boyactor plays cricket legend, Kapil Dev, in the film that captures India’s World Cup victory. A source says, “A large chunk of this sports biopic that depicts the country’s most-glorious win at Lords in 1983 will be shot in this extensive schedule.”

Deepika Padukone is expected to join her husband, too, in her own time. Since she is busy with her film, advertisement and business assignments, the Padmaavat actress is likely to travel after working out her commitments. Also, there is ‘talk’ of her playing Ranveer’s wife in the film. While there is no official announcement on that as yet, the rumours of her essaying the role of Mrs Kapil Dev, Romi Bhatia, continue.

A SUMMER BREAK FOR THE POWER COUPLE?

Though Ranveer’s itinerary in London seems hectic because ’83 involves the actor shooting with many artistes, it is being suggested that he and his wife will also try and find an odd weekend here or there to factor in some quality time with each other. The couple has been married for over six months. They have always been committed to reserving some time off for one another in their hectic work diaries.
