Don't you think movie 'Silsila' was glorifying extra marital affairs ?

I know the ending shows them going back to their respective partners. But it looks more like a majboori, cause of taunts from few people.

Also through out the movie, it was so easy for them to cheat. And the situation was if they are caged people and should be set free to pursue their love.

Not to forget the awesome song 'Yeh kaha as Gaye hum'.

But their love story was from before their respective marriages. Also, for them the shaadi WAS a majboori. So, that sort of made it easier for them to slip.

Yea, it was.... Then they should've just divorced their partners and got together na.... Cheating partners was so wrong.... What were they thinking...

Also in the end they again compromise, for the society. Not cause they feel anything for their partners. I feel that was wrong too.

It was uss waqt ka KANK. It was just treated slightly better as the director had grip on his screenplay.

I thought they went back to their spouses bcz they realized their love for their spouses, not mazboori

Was a terrible movie, not well made... No wonder it flopped

It’s popular only bcz the reel mirrored the real

I think sometimes you should just take things at face value rather than expecting some message through movies or them not to show what you don't want to see. If EMA's happen then they do people do them for the right/wrong reasons and it does hurt people. Its up to the audience if they have a moral compass then the movie might help them understand what is right or wrong or even may be less judgmental towards others.

HW movie “Unfailthful “ deals with this topic better

The director Adrian Lyne must have a fascination with EMA, he made few other movies on this subject - Fatal Attraction, Lolita, Indecent Proposal...
