She probably always got offers since she debuted on a big banner like YRF and with the fact that she is senior PC's cousin but she made some wrong decisions that spoiled her career. She did one after another shitty movies of YRF like Daawat-e-Ishq and Kill Dil and her most of her other movies flopped. Then, she took 2 years break to lose weight and it's not good for actresses to take break because actresses have short spam of career and newcomers can replace them really easily. Also, I heard that she rejected films opposite of the Khans. So all these factors had affected her career. I am not saying that she didn't work hard at all but she doesn't seem to be really dedicated toward her acting career like Alia. I find her better actress than most new actresses like Krithi, Jhanvi and Sara and I found her acting really good in Ishaqzaade. She totally overshadowed Arjun. I just wish she was more serious toward her career like her cousin senior PC and that's just my opinion.
I understand where you are coming from. I do think she was/is as dedicated as alia but thats another story that I wont get into. her break was barely 2 years I believe, which some actresses dont even have a release sometimes in 2 years. I am not sure what goes behind the scenes with casting and film offers..but to me as an actress and performer, there was an expectation for her to perform and do well but it wasnt there when she came back. and there were few gen next actresses who are genuinely talented IMO, it was her and alia.As for the newbies debuting, why is it hard for an actress with talent to reinvent herself? when newbies such as sara and jhanvi still have not shown promise to have the capability to even take over. Again im looking at the lineup, and there is promise in her lineup. where as the best thing sara has is coolie no. 1.its just unfair according to me.if it took an actress like deepika 7 years to prove herself as an actress as well as come from a series of bad films, how come is it hard for an actress with talent to reinvent herself after poor film choices. its not like she can't or wont, but there will be more support for actresses who have not even shown an ounce of talent. and they will be touted as the next big thing. the fact that she is 30 is irrevelant and its unfortunate that this is still looked upon when looking at career fate for actresses
