is parineeti out of the race?

she started out successful and very promising. she was supposed to have a graph similar to alia's but made bad choices/ and or was not offered good enough work. She is now trying to make a comeback with promising films.

her line up includes Jabariya jodi, Bhuj the pride of india, the girl on the train, saina biopic, sandeep aur pinky faraar

I personally really like her and want to see her do well. I think she is talented. But she may be at a disadvantage, she is not like alia or shraddha who gained popularity throughout time and had a growing fan base. she seems like she lost a lot of fans and people forgot about her and now even if she does good work, people have lost interest. much like sonakshi who can try to make a comeback with good work but has a bad rep b/c of her past.

*there is also an age factor, where the industry will only invest the idea of stardom to actresses who are young. ie. sara ali khan, tara..the audience and media likes young

will india/audience give her another shot?

Not really. To bounce back she would need a sizable fandom who would support her. She never had a fandom to begin with. Stars like Salman, Akki etc survived even with a string of flops as they always had a fandom to support them inspite of flops.Forget Shraddha, Alia even Tapsee, Kriti etc seem to have more fans than her right now

Parineeti is talented and has a spark on screen which has for some reason died down over the years. I really hope she bounces back. She's trying too hard to be filmy and conventional she needs to be herself.

She was never in the race in the first place. She got lot of hype like most star kids when she debuted because she is senior PC's cousin and she debuted in YRF PH but the hype died down after sometime. Maybe because she is not hardworking and lazy. Also, sticking with YRF for long time didn't do much good on her career. She should've go Shradda's way and chose better scripts than sticking with one big PH for long time. Shradda chose Aashiqui 2 over 3 movies contact deal with YRF and it did good on her career. Pari had contact deal of 3-4 movies deal with YRF and she wasted so much time on it. Also, she chose bad scripts that didn't give her much chance to explore the character. When she debuted, I thought she would become famous like her cousin senior PC but I lost interest on her after sometime. Maybe she tried to go Kajol and Rani's way by sticking with YRF for long time but she is not that great actress like them and YRF is not running very well now like they use to.

Fandom comes from being in the news through movie releases, endorsements, event appearances,relationship news etc. If she had a sizable fandom around then there would be lot more buzz around her movie releases and she would be more in the news. Its going to be a really steep climb for her to gain new fans especially with Sara, Jhanvi etc gaining popularity.
