Here's What Sonakshi Sinha Has To Say About Kalank's Poor Performance At The Box Office

Sonakshi Sinha has come a long way from being Rajjo in Dabangg to delivering hard-hitting performances in Lootera and Akira. But as we all know, her latest film Kalankdidn't fare well at the box office. The film, directed by Abhishek Varman and produced by Karan Johar starred Sonakshi along with Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt and Kunal Khemu. Recently, speaking at the red carpet of an award show, Alia said that if the audience does not accept a film, the film will not do well and that they will just have to learn from the experience and move on.

Sonakshi also recently spoke about the film to PTI. Speaking to them, she said that it was bad luck that her last couple of films have not worked in her favour.

Here's what she said:

Every film is important to me. I hope, wish and pray every film does well. It is bad luck that the last couple of films did not work out. But I don't lose hope, I always look forward to doing my best.

Adding that every film she has done successful or not has been a great learning experience for her, she further spoke about how important box office performance is to her:

I pick up films very instinctively. Box office is not in my control, as an actor I have control over my performance and acting. I don't stress over what is not in my control.

Kalank was Sonakshi's next outing after Happy Bhaag Jaayegi Returns and Welcome To New York both which didn't fare well with the audiences. She is going to be back as Rajjo in Dabangg 3 with Salman Khan and has Mission Mangalalongside Vidya Balan, Akshay Kumarand Taapsee Pannu in the pipeline. We are sure Sonakshi is going to kick ass in these films and can't wait to see her on screen again.
