I am short exactly be of same age as Alia with a school girl face and I always get age shamed . I love sarees , they suit me though woh char log keep blabbering shit. Alia looks oretty in this sareevlook. Looking young is a boon in my opinion and oeopke age shaming as ND body shaming need to get a life

Even I don't endorse that comment made about her height but took it as an opinion because I have seen short and petite women carry the sari beautifully. (I'm petite myself). But some insinuated on this thread that (not talking about you) people who critisized Alia's sari look did that to body shame her or were making fun of her height.

Apart from that one comment most comments were about how she can't carry a sari because of her baby face (she looks like a teen) and how the styling aged her. As said Rani, Jaya and Vidya are short yet they carry the sari beautifully. Even irl have seen petite people carry the sari beautifully. So even short and petite people can carry a sari but Alia can't is an opinion. A sari look with this chipku bun and big earring does not suit her.

So the styling did not suit her.

And nah Deepu was not signing one film after another to make other heroines fans jealous. It was her flop phase, and people noticed coz she was overdoing that posture. Similarly Aloo is getting criticism coz she has been projecting a wrong kind of body image.

It's not just about his topic. It happens regularly where Alia's height, body type, long neck, not being able to reach Ranbir's shoulders, neck pillows, and so much other stuff is said.

I do follow fashion blogs and social media fashiom handles have always seen people saying that Vidya and Rani can carry a sari beautifully. Sometimes their styling does get critisized same ways Alia's does. Even in real life a lot of short and people do wear saris. So Alia can't carry a sari is an opinion not something said to bodyshame her. And even the short people can't carry a sari is just an opinoon as a lot of short people do wear the sari beautifully.

@bold: Then go on those threads and comment about how Aloo gets body shamed.

The reason why I commented was because some comments said people who critisized Aloo's sari look were body shaming her and making fun of her height. As I was one of the people who critisized her look, I just pointed out the reason why I said she looks like a teenager playing dress up (because of her baby face not because of her height) before people here start labeling me as a body shamer. And it has nothing to do with her height.

You want to compare Alia's look to that of Deepika's, that is alright. You want to comment on the outfit or make up or hair do, that is also acceptable. What is extremely uncalled for is passing offensive comments on ANYONE'S body or stature or figure and/or objectifying them. Please ensure that discussions on physical attributes of anyone don't end up body shaming them or discussing them in a vile/vulgar manner.

What you wrote was funny. I don't think her waist looks small because of bigger necklines. At least not in Anarkalis. But yeah it may look slightly disproportionate overall since her neck area gets elongated. I don't see why she needs to look taller though. Shouldn't look stubby yes but since she's got skinny, she'll look fine even if she stays normal. IMO she should focus on her plus points rather than try to be someone she's not. I mean tall girls get to be statuesque naturally and that is their plus point, so why try to do that and fall short? lol Instead cash in on the cuteness and young features.

And I am a Deepika fan myself and have objected to body shmaing of Deepika that used to happen back then when I was using another account whose password I don't remeberr now .

I have always reported posts shaming deepika and bashing and making fun of her depression being a doctor myself .

Deepika , alia or Vidya whoever it is body shaming and age shaming is wrong and ilI' call out whoever does that. Because I know how bad it feels to be age shamed or body sjamed
