I am 5.3 and petite too. I feel hurt when I read such posts not because I love alia or anything.

I am 4'10" and have been reading such comments for years,these comments started affecting me even before I realized I think.It is not even only about height but also about "do I have enough curves at the right places?"😆

One starts objectifying every part of their body even before completely realizing.

I really like sarees man,be it the balucharis,kalamkaris,kanjeevarams etc.I wonder and hope that I will be able to pull these off.

I am sorry to make a ME ME ME comment on this bollywood forum but I wanted to make the point that I kind of always thought "oh I am so aware and sensible" it never even crossed my mind that I could get so affected and start analysing and objectifying every part of my body.I wonder if it happened with anyone else here or due to social media like instagram?"Do I have the right kind of facial features(because anushka who is tall herself was criticized for wearing what she wore at her reception,apparently only ethereal beauties can wear sarees,so you need height as well as facial features)?" I acknowledge deepika has been body shamed too here,a male member here once called her behind 'baasi'(rotten)

🤢..as if women owe beauty to men and if they are not pleasing enough to the men they can refer to women as 'baasi'

I think alia looks pretty here,or may be I am biased.I don't like organza too much but this colour is always a favourite.

Alia has this weird thing going earlier it was bebo now Dp, even in her friends wedding she had that messy hair puff that dp used to have initial days.

Tho she looked lovely in it with minimum jewels and all.

People cant choose their body type some are tall some are short some are broad its FINE.

Discussion such as " the look doesnt suit her" is completely normal but making fun of her height, neck, built etc is NOT. She was born with it.😕

Hey I apologize if it hurt, I did not intend that, it is not like I go around making fun of anyone small and also it is not like I am 6 feet tall or something 😆 Being a guy I can say we guys get judged (openly or discreetly) even brutally for height but I am at that point in my life where I have accepted that if somebody says anything, I laugh and forget it next minute. With this approach, I have made peace with myself lol. Although I do realize some people are more sensitive to these things. My comment was more like "everybody should wear clothes that fit them well "

On the general bodyshaming issue (which I do not understand frankly 😆), the verbalization of judgement on others' looks and body shapes seems to be something everyone is against but does that really stop the continuous judgement we pass in our mind everytime we see someone else from the physical beauty POV. I am pretty sure people still judge all the way just don't say it.

BTW it is not like I find Alia bad looking or anything, she is still in 95+% percentile, just that for celebs I expect 99% 😆
