Kesari On Its Way To Becoming A HIT

Kesari is on its way to becoming a HIT film as it shows good growth on Saturday with collections set to be around 19-20 crore nett. This will give it figures of around 57-58 crore nett for the first three days which is a little less than Total Dhamaal which was a normal Fri- Sun weekend while this is Thu-Sat. the growth will be around the 15% mark on Saturday.

The film has grown in the metros which is the norm for Saturday but it has also held and even managed to show some growth in the mass circuits. The business of the film is not huge in South or West Bengal but its a good for a Punjab based sardaar film as these areas are less receptive to these films. West Bengal and Mysore will both have crossed 2 crore nett in three days.

North India is strong which was always likely but the Hindi belt is also doing well with Rajasthan, MP and Gujarat all doing very well. Bihar which had its first complete day will go to around 1 crore nett on Saturday. Even if its misses by a little it is sure to fly past 1 crore nett on Sunday which is a big number in that circuit. the good Hindi belt business is a good sign for the longer run.

Its difficult to tell where Sunday will go as some films have huge Sunday growth while others are flat. This should have strong growth as the Hindi belt is strong and families will come there but on the other side there is a huge contribution from Delhi NCR which does not grow on Sunday. Wherever Sunday goes be it 15% higher or 40% higher the Saturday business ensures some sort of hold on Monday and the bigger the growth on Sunday the stronger the hold will be on Monday.
