people still dont understand the point...smh.

no one says she is not delivering and does not deserve good film offers

no one is arguing about her box office figures😆

but the whole point of this thread is about respect..and does she get her work in a way that is fair? no, she doesnt!

she gets work that puts her at an advantage over other talent b/c she is priveleged and has someone looking out for her through a means that is through lobby and infleunce, thats it, thread over.

Alia is privileged but she IS delivering. You all can have your opinions but numbers don't lie. When she doesn't deliver as expected, she will be tossed aside by the public for the pretty new thing. Happened to the best of em. Such is the mantra of life.

Also since when was selection ever fair to begin with! ... Speaking of talent, likes of Deepika and Katrina had zilch of it in their debut yet they were given a chance for their "looks" ... how it that fair compared to many talented artists who auditioned for the role?! .. They still kept getting work becoz of their "looks" and connections .. again UNFAIR (-tho people invest in "faces" which seem bankable) ... But most blatantly ignore such "not so idealistic" selections of the past! ... 😆

you sound absolutely ridiculous. there is actually no logic to what you are saying IMO.
if you treat one particular actress as god and as the only actress who should be there, you are beyond me and there is no point in arguing.

As if u have any logic to argue with...😆just u want alia roles to thousands of others and alia should sit jobless ..okay lets hope alia distribute whatever roles was offered to her to thousands of others...happy ?

atleast deepika and katrina stayed relevant through their work on their own merit. they may have gotten in through their looks, yes i agree and initial connection but they are in their place today through a journey not influenced by karan johar lobbying every role for them and spoon feeding them. if you are comparing their connections to alia's you got it all wrong dude.

they also never had an unfair advantage over priyanka and katrina. there was none of them who was getting drastically better work than the other b/c of influence

you are comparing unfairness on a slight level to unfairness on a drastic and continual level which makes absolutely no sense!

So you agree they had their own share of "unfairness" ... There will always be a level of unfairness .. some more than other .. doesn't make any of the scenario "ethically correct" .. (-Deepika continued to get movies on influence ... Three movies with SLB even with mediocre talent while more talented people are lining out his door ... same with Katrina .. Salman's influence) ... again it's your blatant neglect at the obvious!

If you're ok with certain degree of "unfairness" while not the other, that's your deal! ... Tho you still went to agree "unfairness" has always been there for most selection .. so debate over! .. 😆

Of course Bollywood is an unequal industry... But so are almost all the entertainment industries.

And everyone in Bollywood is NOT respected either for one reason or another. Alia is NOT respected for not having to struggle hard, Jhanvi is NOT respected for being too much plastic, Kirti is NOT respected for being a third wheel between SSR and his former girlfriend, Sara is NOT respected for having it too easy, Katrina is NOT respected for getting everything with Bhai's influence, DP is NOT respected for making a spectacle about her ex while still being married to her husband, Kangana is NOT respected for obvious reasons, PC is NOT respected for many reasons.

Does any of these reasons affect them? No...

Does either of these actresses give two hoot about whether people respect them or not ?... NO

Alia doesn't need anyone's respect. She will make use of opportunities as long as she gets it. The moment she fails to deliver even her papa Kjo will dump her. I don't think anyone here is naive to believe that Karan cares for her. Their relationship with each other is that of mutual benefit...

And lets not even talk about giving equal opportunities to others... SLB did not audition for Devdas. After HDDCS, he straight away took Aish for the movie. Who knows had he auditioned for the movie we would have seen a different and a better Paro? Likewise, SLB did not audition for BM and Padmavat. Who knows had he auditioned for these roles, we would have had a different non-wooden Mastaani and a non-cardboard Padmavati.

So if you are actually making a point about not everyone getting equal opportunities, don't omit these obvious.

Alia will have a downward curve in her career too... Its only a matter of time.

no, its not the same level. getting work b.c of your looks initially is not unfairness when the industry wants you. which they continued to get w/o influence. salman wasnt asking directors to cast her 5 yrs into the industry. she did it by herself. same with deepka. go look at her stuggle period. SLB wanted her in ram leela and homi wanted her in cocktail years. kjo didnt help get those offers.

so no its not the same. the lobbying karan does for alia is astounding, not in a good way.

the thread was over when I bought up the idea of respect, the topic of this thread and getting work through a respectful means, which alia doesnt. you dragged it on.😆
