Not in mainstream since last few months ...keeping in mind this statistic i am seeing him out of the game in few coming years his life might be less as a singer and not likes of sonu nigam , udit narayan kind who spent 25+ years in bollywood

one song cant save him, he used to get albums which is now decreased to one song

I think he is really over rated. His singing sounds like a drunk person dragging words and singing. His voice actually spoil some really great songs. I really hope his craze is done - his voice really jars the ears.

I was just about to say the same.

Whenever Arijit has a song in a movie, the comments section is full of praise for his singing/composition.

Kalank end bit, sung by Arijit, is being praised immensely right now.

Dunno, am I missing somethiong?

Too much of anything is never good. This is what's happening which the current lot of 'singers'.

They have a phase, sing every song in that duration and then the craze ends and along with that their phase.

Atleast in the previous batch of singers we had variety, now as soon as a singer gets a hit, he's there in every other song. Hopefully Kakkar will bite the dust soon.

I think also setup of movies is changing.

Before it was: one singer gets it all.

Nowadays directors like to try varied voices and different styles.. so not all songs are sung always by same people.

Shreya Goshal is another example. She used to be in all the BW movies I was watching. .. Then I've noticed other female singers started to pop up in same movie.. so.. maybe diversification is the key word here..
