I have yet to watch GB .. Can't wait! ... But I remember Ranveer mentioned in one of his interviews how his portrayal of "Murad" is very close to that of "Varun" of Lootera!

So Pick one, which Ranveer did you enjoy more?! [I know most have seen GB by now so it won't be hard to pick one]

I will comment on BBB and GB.
I've watched Band Baaja Baarat 30-40 times and I love Ranveer's Bitto Sharma and then after all his other films (which I have not watched except for Ladies vs Ricky Bahl), I have been to the theatre to watch Gully Boy twice. These two are his most sincere and honest performances, purely according to my own opinion.

I can't decide at the moment...
I loved Ranveer in Gully Boy. He has come a long way from Lootera days, but I still can not decide.

Ranveer's performance in Lootera has always been my favorite. I went in watching that film in theaters without any expectation and at a time when Ranveer was not where he is today, and I walked out loving the film and his performance. I still till this day can never get over how brilliant Ranveer was. I disagree with those who always say it was Sonakshi's film..I felt people tried making it her film, but it was just as much of Ranveer's film. In fact, he was the best performer in my eyes.

So, Ranveer in Lootera will always have a special place in my heart (as cheesy as it sounds). I have disliked Ranveer in a lot of his over the past few years, but if there was one film that always made me still like him despite all of that, was Lootera. With that said, I can not answer this question. 😆

Wow. This question feels like a personal attack lol.

I've had the most beautiful relationship with Lootera over the years. Its a gem that would have worked so magically today. I can almost see the reviews pouring in for it today. The status it would have gotten amongst people who not only watch movies but fall in love with movies and take them with them in their hearts throughout a lifetime.

Lootera is really that movie for me. Its faultless, magical and makes you believe that movies with a soul will resonate somehow within eras and years irrespective of the times and trends during their release.

And a huge part of my heart is owned by Varun. There's shades in him that are so human but they never make it on screen. To this day I havent gotten over his eyes in the movie. When you see Varun plotting you see his eyes vacant the same eyes ignite when he falls in love without knowing. There's something so awfully tragic about a character like Varun and I don't mean the way things end. Its rare to see a character so conflicted so adamant in his twisted ways and yet so unconditional till the very end.

And Ranveer brought life into him without a single misstep. The sweet way he talks to her, the mumblings of sweet whisperings in the beginning, and the way he changes things during their stay together - I don't think Ranveer will ever surpass Varun when it comes to the number of shades one can show in a movie.

Murad though is pretty close but not not close enough.
