that is more English problem rather than logic.
They meant to say that, had the movie opened well, it would have become a hit, but it didn't hence despite the healthy trend, it isn't a hit.

They meant if it had opened better than it would have made more money as trend was good but it didn't so made less money that's why the average verdict

and the budget is around 60cr because of vfx and delays

also what's the runtime of kedernath? Google says 2hrs 25 min but the one that's available is about 1hr 51min

According to me Kedarnath is the winner here. Every critic and public figure tried so hard to make the film a disaster (Karan Johar's obstructions maybe ?)

Against all odds the film did decent business

I think Kedarnath was an original movie whereas Dhaak was a complete copy of Sairat so Kedarnath for me.

Is there any source of Kedarnath budget being 60 Crores? I haven't watched the film so had no idea about it's vfx.

Kedarnath is estimated to be made on a budget of Rs 60 Crores all inclusive of prints and advertising cost

Production Cost: 45 Crore

Prints & Advertising Cost: 15 Crore

Kedarnath's Budget

Kedarnath was made on a budget of Rs 60 Crores and that includes advertising and marketing. We'll have to wait and watch if the movie would get its return on investment until its lifetime.
