Biased BOI.
Kedarnath was promoted much less than Dhadak.

IMHO, Kedarnath is the winner here

Both movies does not guarantee future off jahnavi or Sara.. let's wait for few years then we can compare 😆

Kedarnath did well in its second week as it picked up 18.75 crore nett apprx. This takes the total business of the film to 61 crore nett. The drop in the second week is 55% which is very good trending though it will be stopped in its tracks by the release of Zero.

The second week is better than films like Veere Di Wedding, Dhadak, Parmanu - The Story Of Pokhran and Pad Man.

This is from BOI article comparing which clearly says Kedarnath had a better trending than Dhadak.

Also Kedarnath was battling Robot at the box office , BOI themselves had written how 1-2cr business was effected in the 1st week due to Uttarakhand ban...must have been the same in the following weeks..

Taran Adarsh who had trashed the film tweeted in Jan about its success but BOI suddenly wants to give it average verdict ..😆

Dhadak is a HIT at the box office and its mainly about how the industry has got two new stars which is not true as only a handful of newcomers becomes stars with their first films. Even a Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt had to wait for Main Tera Hero and 2 States respectively to hit stardom.
So its basically about what happens post Dhadak here for the newcomers in this film and can they establish themselves. It should be an easier road for the girl as most young heroes do not have many choices so could easily be paired with the top young stars. The boy will find it harder as he does not look like a hero and that is partly why the big multiplexes in Delhi and Punjab have not performed. So this makes the road tough as generally the industry makes for multiplexes but without Delhi or Punjab multiplexes the big numbers will not come .

Kedarnath has managed a decent run despite a heavy flow of releases post its release. the film has managed to hang around for 8 weeks and collected 70 crore nett. The film is AVERAGE due to a lackluster opening but has trended well to get this far.
It managed decent numbers in Mumbai (20.59 cr), Delhi / UP (16.17 cr) and East Punjab (7.21 cr). The Mumbai numbers are the surprise considering it is a UP film without a big star. The numbers for Kedarnath till date are as follows. The ratios are very similar to Manikarnika with a better performance in Mumbai but less in the Central belt.
The film did around $2 million (14 cr) in overseas which gave it a worldwide gross of a little over 100 crore at 104 crore.

It is stupid logic to put Sridevi's daughter on pedestal. Kedarnath's budget is less than Dhadak's as well as the hype.

i liked kedarnath most and i like sairat most.

its just jahnvi's acting i didnt like much but ishaan was too goo.and kedarnath simply touched my heart by every means.

both are nice movie so dont think there always needs some comparison:)

i mean dhadak had a much smaller budget of around 30cr and kedarnath had a budget of 60cr

so it is no rocket science why both despite making 70cr..one is a hit and other average

but sara made gigantic impact in her debut which janhvi could not..she also already featured on no.8 in top 10 female stars by Ormax

According to wikipedia kedarnath had a budget of 35 crore and dhadak had a budget of 41 crore?
