I think her self-proclaimed bindaas-ness and straightforwardness hides a certain fragility; a feeling of inadequacy. Had she been truly confident, she wouldn't have had the need to boast about it or go under the knife. If you notice carefully, these insecurities of hers hinder her onscreen performances too. But let's not talk about that since this topic is about her offscreen persona...

She's hyper-conscious about her public image & how others perceive her. Looks wise, personality wise & acting wise. That's not how a confident person thinks or behaves. A confident person would be happy if others like him/her, but they will not change themselves to appease others. Their entire self-worth is not dependent on whether they are well liked - so they don't really care if some people don't like them. All this ties into her lack of comfort being in the public eye & in interviews and such. And the way she frequently interrupts others rudely during interviews, she lacks social grace which is something truly confident people possess.

I like anushka. I have always found her as one of those women who can be uncomplicated and be just friends with men...or just co stars with them as in have a work relationship thats all. Sporting and engaging.

Offsrcreen unbearable and onscreen bearable very rarely because role jo bhi she plays herself. Boring AF 🥱

she is kinda avoidable off screen, you know someone you don't want to spend time with, so make weird excuses like ''meri pait ka haddi mai fracture huwa hai'', and avoid meeting her.

I think m in the minority.I have started to like her only now.Earlier I used to feel she's irritating but now I think she is very much like us.Someone who is not vile manipulating n dramebaaz..but yeah may be preachy.That is not a negative quality acc to me.She has had the best image off screen amongst actors..no unnecessary drama n all.Sometimes she tries to show off but that's ok all of us are like that in our real life.We preach but when it comes to us we falter.That makes her like a very normal regular girl at heart and I really like that about her.

OT : I never watched her interviews to know her persona much...but she does look like someone who gets annoyed a lot... i don't dislike her at all, it's just her fans on IF who make me bash her...
