Pallavi-ji, what's up with these accusations whenever SRK movies flop. When FAN flopped you blamed audience, when Dilwale didn't performed well you blamed the BJP/Hindus nationalists, when JHMS flopped you blamed Akki and Reshma and now when Zero flopped you are blaming Kjo.

Firstly KGF isn't a Excel production, it is just distributed by them and that too just Hindi market, while its major market was Karnataka, not even North India.
And more importantly KGF Hindi isn't even that huge name, given we saw how it opened at 1-2 crores, that it was some threat to Zero.
It is like saying Haider was the reason why Bang Bang underperformed.

KJo did pay some critics and most of the trade guys to trash Zero, thats for sure, thats how he works, underhanded and vicious. Thats why even those trade guys who are usually supportive of SRK were also trashing Zero.

KGF did affect Zero down south, SRK does have a good market in southern states too in case u didnt know, like Mysore, Nizam, Kerala these are his strongholds. Go check BOI any of his movie collections by region and u will see that.

Only CE and HNY has been one hit which can be said to be a hit in every circle, crossing/nearing 2 crores footfall mark.
Others have only all been the same range as Dilwale or even lower.
So the number of people since the turn of decade watching SRK have been in the similar range.
You cannot say that since BJP came it has become this.

And the some of the movies while have been successful in overseas but it isn't like the value is too big, but the range in India and overseas has been same. It isn't like in India they struggled to make it 100 crores, while OS it made 100 millions. Range is same in India and overseas.

Yes Dilwale had some sort of protest, but the reason it flopped wasn't because of that. It flopped because it was a movie not liked by audience unanimously, people went because of SRK star power/Rohit Shetty brand/SRK-Kajol Jodi/varun-SRK factor, but the movie turned out to be bad plus the people had an option of watching a better movie in BM, yes you can say BM wasn't great, but it was undeniably better movie experience than Dilwale. Or else it wouldn't have opened at 20 crores( even Zero opened similar), if Indian really hate them or we all conspired to see him fail.

Just look at Padmavat, had itself banned at 3 States! still managed to o earn huge, so blaming protests for Dilwale underperforming isn't entirely true.

KGF wasn't the only big movie releasing in the south on that day. Big movies like Maari 2, Antariksham and Odiyan all released on that day, while on total over 10 movies were released on December 21st 2018 in South. Plus in South KGF released in their own languages, so it is not like it was eating the Hindi market of Zero down south. It is all excuses which make no sense.

Blaming others for the failure of SRK isn't a logical thing, as I have said the numbers don't show it, the range of his movies like Don 2, RA One, JTHJ and so on has been same as the likes of Dilwale, Raees, while FAN and Zero along with JHMS had negative reviews from around the globe. Hence they didn't get much, I mean 11 million isnt really a huge mark given Zero was such a huge release in overseas.

So all in all, more than whatever outside influence you are talking about, it is mostly because of SRK himself why his movies aren't doing bigger, despite still opening big.

firstly I meant underperformed, but wrote flop, which I admit was a mistake, as I have also used the word underperforming in the same post, so I hope it is clear to you.

And Dilwale lost the clash against BM in Indian market, yes Dilwale won it in OS, but unlike Dilwale which underperformed in the Indian market, BM's OS numbers aren't under whelming.They were good for itself. While Dilwale in Indian market was meant to be cross CE, which it didn't losing out to a movie featuring young stars despite being a bigger release.

You are saying as if 10 million USD is bigger than the getting 90 crores Zero got in India or 60 something for JHMS in India.Those numbers just prove that the SRK is still a huge star in both India and OS, hence his underwhelming movies pull big numbers, but it doesn't mean he is giving huge hits in OS, while people India are not supporting him.
I never said SRK was giving flops since the turn of 2010s, but that he was struggling to get the huge hits, that a super star of his caliber should be giving.See we need to get these small things that when it comes to Khan, the bar is very high, hence even when their movies do 100 crores or more, people still call it flop.

Anyways coming back to calling the likes of JTHJ, MNIK, Don 2 and RA one similar range as Raees and Dilwale is because of the number of people these movies brought to the halls.So it is not wrong information, but correct information, which shows that the reason why SRK movies nowadays don't get clean hit tags is because (a) he isn't being able to bring more people than was already doing, (b) his movie budgets and cost are too high to allow him getting hit rate unless they hit numbers like HNY and CE does.

The range of his movie collection has been more or less same, the scale of production and release has gotten bigger, hence the flops/ under performance (how ever you name it).

and I don't know about others but I am not here spreading negativity against SRK. As I have blamed all Khans for their failure last year or before.
I will blame Khans for not being able to choose their scripts properly while the criticism for the directors on their own.Like in my review of the FAN and JHMS I blasted the directors and writers for making a bad movie while I just bashed SRK for his choice. Now if you take this as me blaming SRK wholly than what can I say??
Also you still haven't given any valid reason for how KGF was released to undermine Zero, as we can easily see their were tonnes of releases down south on that week.

SRK is far from over all he needs to do is stop adding thrills to his scripts and stop producing movies for a while. He is a very good actor and has it in him to bounce back just have to be there at the right place at the right time!!
