I think the rule is that as long as you deliver good work it doesnt matter if the production house is Dharma or Karma.

Alia has risen above production homes and even technicians/directors,co-stars. She single highhandedly elevated Raazi and carried the film on her small frame.

She is no less than a legend and we need to accept it. Audiences lover her and as long as she is working the best actress award will always be hers!

Yes, that's true. I had not considered Alia at all for the part but Shahid [Kapoor] suggested her. Although I think she is a very good actor, I didn't think she would suit the role. Even when I met her I was skeptical. We had a frank chat and I was not still not completely convinced. But she committed herself very well to the project. She doesn't know her Bhojpuri from her Bihari and here she had to play a migrant 19-year-old labourer forced into doing what she is doing. She had to learn Bhojpuri and speak Hindi with an accent. We had Pankaj Tripathi help us out. He talkedto her about her character, conducted workshops, helped her with the accent and she dived right into it. It was mainly a matter of preparation because she understood the character emotionally.

Alia was just seen getting out of KjO's house today.. maybe discussing how to get the best scripts thats curated for her 😆

On a serious note, She's come this far because of KJO's backing.. kudos to her for being smart and networking 👏 ... but that doesn't change the fact that nepotism, KJO's guidance and getting her the best of best scripts got her to this position. Had Parineeti gotten the same chance and opportunities Alia got, she would also be considered one of the top actors today. Alia had multiple opportunities (good script, direction etc) to prove herself, Pari didn't.. and many don't get that chance and has to settle for whatever they are offered. They also don't have someone like KJO lobbying with the insiders and his friends (ex: zoya) for roles for them 😳.

I would rather prefer someone like DP, Pari, or PC who struggled to get to the top position, than someone who never struggled and was always given everything in a silver platter 😆.

is alia a better actress than parineeti and the likes of other actresses out there. i dont recall alia being able to act like pari in ishaqzaade or hassee. she might have been able to bareilly but even kriti was pretty good in that. so i dont think so. actually kriti with just one film was able to fall into the gen next crowd very fast. and work her self up not to a level where she is seen as an actress with potential. alia, what was givven highway in her second film..and then touted as some meryl streep? the overratedness of her is real.

alia is a good actress...but she is not better than her contemporaries. only her films and opportunities are better.

sorry but she is only where she is because of that and only that. even a bhatt film wouldn't be able to save her.

I mean only shraddha was able to pull off aashiqui 2 and she became huge after that. not sure if alia would do that. acting wise yes. but she wouldnt have the aura cause shraddha is just a beauty

i didnt know nostril flaring and literal fugly expressions in highway was good acting either. sorry but thats the truth😆

She has the talent and has used it intelligently to get what she wants out of the industry including KJO who himself said Alia is a lot more intelligent than she lets on.

I do think she's insecure AF though, she just seems like that kind of a person.

Still surprised how much of her carrer is KJo support ( from articles and linkups to movie scripts and being given roles precedence)
