SRK did not insult Sonu Sood. In fact, the two share a great bond with each other.

In Manikarnika...no wonder people are praising the parts that he directed and bored to tears through the other so called patch work!

Manikarnika Is Kangana's show all the way

According to this source, actors such as Atul Kulkarni, Danny Denzongpa have been reduced to props.

Mumbai: On Sunday evening, the co-producers of Manikarnika hosted a special screening for handpicked guests. While those invited were generally positive in their response to the film except for one prevalent complaint about the film's length and the over-dominance of the lead actress in the proceedings. An actor whose role has been chopped to almost zilch says, "This has got to be the longest show reel ever made for an Indian actor. It is nearly two and a half hours long and it isn't a fast-flying narrative. The film is weighed down by its own sense of self-importance. Every frame is about only one actor.

According to this source, actors such as Atul Kulkarni, Danny Denzongpa have been reduced to props. "Sonu Sood is not there at all. He has been replaced by Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and the role is now much smaller than what it was. Atul who plays the important role of Rani Laxmibai's war General is reduced to two scenes. While Nihar Pandya who plays her brother is a blur. According to this source, "Kangana is in almost every frame of the film. All the other characters have been marginalised to a shadowy nothing. To her credit, she powers the plot, holds it together. But it's a one-woman show or more like a show-reel. The source complains about Kangana's dialogue delivery. "She is unable to deliver the historic lines with enough force. But that apart she is adequate as queen of Jhansi. The second half is all by Krish and the first-half is all done by Kangana. The audience can easily tell the difference between the two halves.

I've never heard of actor who is actually scared to leave the screen for a few seconds. Krish would have balanced things and allowed the supporting cast to be more present if he had continued to direct. The main flaw of the film from most reviews is that the balance wasn't there. The problem is that the rest of the cast was actually very good for their roles but have been sidelined for no fault of their own it seems. Kangana was too threatened by the others, particularly Sonu Sood and wanted to distort the historical background because of it by making his character die earlier. Anyway, this is the result. Obviously, it would have been better to keep the other actress' close-ups and all the other things she cut. So, there are two competing visions of directors here.

What Kangana did is nothing new in Bollywood. Actors always interfere in making of the film. But neither the industry or the audience have much problem with it. Yeah, Kangana might be the first woman to do that, if that's what people have an issue with. As for Kangana taking credit as the director, Krish left the film without completing it. Whatever reason it might be, but Kangana did take over the director's seat. So there's nothing wrong if she's credited as the director.
And why should we believe Krish on what portions he has shot and what not? Of course he's gonna say that the good portions of the film were shot by him, and Kangana did the bad ones. If the producer of the film had found problem in the film then there must be something wrong with it. Kamal Jain is no doodh peeta bachha that he'll get influenced by Kangana. It was his money which was involved. He wouldn't have let a "flop" actress to do whatever she wants just to feed her ego.

People are so much blinded by hate for Kangana, that they don't even want to see the most logical things in front of them.

Right?
Amnd anyway.. it's CLEAR the first half is more about romance etc.. check the director's style and see he is telling the truth.
He even says that scenes were deleted added.. and it's a patchwork - smart move if it wasn't despicable for stealing his work- as by mixiong the scenes is harder to see which bits are hers or his.. so she can't be criticised.

There's no problem with a woman being centric.
The problem lies with the rest of the characters being mere props and not helping in the story flow enough..they are barely there..
FOr a story to work you need other chartacters to interact with the main. not just a ME ME ME
SImply put. If superstars meddle- which I also don;t agree with- maybe the movie shows 60-70/% the superstar and the rest of 30-40% is the others.
In this case it's 95% her and 5 % the others.. that proportion is ridiculous!
