For me, I went to see a movie about the queen of Jhansi and I got to see that .

All the relevant characters in her life do make an appearance but in passing . They all deserve a biopic of their own coz they all did something substantial but this movie was about Jhansi ki Rani and thats what you get to see.

I am satisfied with that.

Its not that others don't have anything to do, they do but if you r expecting to see a detailed part on Sadashiv Rao, then this movie isnt the one for you.

This movie is about Jhansi ki Rani and thats what you get

If you reduced all of the relevant people in your life to "present in passing " would you still be the same you? We need to know something about those people to more fully understand RLB. Relevant characters should have relevance. In real life, the people around her played important parts in how and why she became who she was and did what she did. Allowing those characters some scope could have made RLB much more compelling as a full fledged human instead of a caricature. So I suppose it depends on whether you'd like to see her brought to life on screen or see an impression of her on screen. To each his/her own.

The movie shows Jhansi Ki rani from an innocent girl to a wife, mother and warrior...

of course all the people relevant in her journey do make an appearance.

The movie is already 2 1/2 hrs long or more, if thy focus on other characters and show them substantially, you wont be able to see the queen's journey

As i said, you have to see the movie to understand what i am saying.

Its not fair that you are having this discussion about how much screen time each substantial character gets without watching it.

They do have a role and they do play a part but the movie is about Jhansi Ki Rani and you get that .

I cannot think of any good film where one character is 95% of the film and there are no other characters interesting enough to mention. The film would have been better if Kangana had allowed even one other interesting character - even a villain. Why is Kangana so insecure (or narcissistic)?

Khans would hv been ripped apart by now if the same interview was given by a director fr a khan ..but fr kangna ,its feminism 😎..
On a serious note this movie is make or break fr kangna in industry ..if it works she will always hv the dominance in her every movie and noone will question her but if it fails then no producer will give in to her bizzare demands anymore ..

Aamir did same with taare zameen par old director and as fan I dint like it ..but he went onto achieve success with the movie ..so noone questioned him..lets see if kangna can do the same ..

Forget Khans...Just imagine if it were RK/RS...😆

About TZP...I wasn't aware at that time of all the hullaboo about it but after googling what I found is that that Aamir took over from the concept stage itself not after the movie was completely shot by the other director?

With a difference.
Aamir was changing things from day one. He didn't go in and take credit for other filmmaker's work.. adding bits and claiming this is all his.
There were clearly delineated differences that were addressed from beginning.
Kangana went on to change stuff after Krish FINISHED the movie. She got the producer onboard and went on to remove characters and add more ME time.

Whichever way.. this movie is not looking like it will recover costs/make profit.
So there's that

TZP is a masterpiece.. People with special kids knows how important the movie is.. My kids still love to watch that movie... after so many years. ( they don't even understand hindi)
Aamir put his money on it... He put Amol's name has creative director which comes before his name. Every character in the movie has a scope... even the Dad and the other teachers... Can not compare Kangana with Aamir.

RS/RK toh r anyway ripped apart fr everything they do ..mayb even fr sneezing 😆..

We talk of gender equality etc etc but always gives free pass to kangna in whatever she does bec she is woman ..how is tht equality then ..And i m.not talking of this forum but the general wave..

She is fab actress and movie could hv been masterpiece with krish as director mayb ..who knows ..

He even says that scenes were deleted added.. and it's a patchwork - smart move if it wasn't despicable for stealing his work- as by mixiong the scenes is harder to see which bits are hers or his.. so she can't be criticised.

There's no problem with a woman being centric.
The problem lies with the rest of the characters being mere props and not helping in the story flow enough..they are barely there..
FOr a story to work you need other chartacters to interact with the main. not just a ME ME ME
SImply put. If superstars meddle- which I also don;t agree with- maybe the movie shows 60-70/% the superstar and the rest of 30-40% is the others.
In this case it's 95% her and 5 % the others.. that proportion is ridiculous!

Yeah, it's so "clear" just because the first half is about romance it's not directed by Krish. What is his style, please do tell me?😆

Yeah, you are right, she can't be criticized, because we'll never know which part was directed by him or her. Sad na.😛

Duh!!! It's a biopic and she's be playing the titular character. Of course she'll be on the screen 95% of the time. What did you expect?😆
