I think he spoke now because for one thing, he did not want to influence the outcome of the movie and for another, he did not know how many changes Kangana had actually ended up doing

She did this to apporva asrani in simran . Hansal mehta backed her then ( maybe had no choice ) now ofcourse sings a different tune .

Lets not forget Ketan mehta ...manikarna was his dream project and he worked on it for 10 odd yrs . He took the project to her . She found new financiars and got him kicked out ! Brought in Krish who was a more commercial director ...he apparently must have made a more wholesome movie with a powerful antagonist and other important historical characters ...

So she got him thrown out and made everyone into mere props .

This cycle will continue with every film of hers ...

Lol, Kangana toh khud director banke baithi hai. Honestly, the way this krish guy is saying inside stuffs, he looks like a pretty genuine guy to me. Considering his position currently in BW, I dont think he will lie or make a story out of it. It does look same to me too. Kangana is self obsessed for sure. Maybe, she chopped off so many roles just because she thought that this roles/ this actors are overshadowing/ overpowering her.

The movie was supposed to be centered on her character but Vishal edited out some of her scenes (to please the heroes or to have a more commercially appealing movie?) and Rangoon ended up a mess.

The atmosphere on the shoot was atrocious too.

Simran: truth of the matter is Hansal Mehta has never done a commercially successful movie. He might have been pleased to have a critically appreciated A-lister actress working with him and hence might have accepted her inputs.

While the movie was being made -apart from the Apurva debacle- nothing seemed wrong. Hansal even stood by the end product of his movie well after its release.

Manikarnika : Kangana doesn't own the rights to the story. He owns the title hence the title change from Jhansi ki Rani to Manikarnika in Kangana's filmography.

Of course it wasn't very ethical to move from one director to another but truth of the matter was that Ketan wanted to make an English movie and had a hard time finding financers. The movie wasn't kicking off quickly enough so it doesn't come as a surprise that Kangana who liked the idea of playing The Queen of Jhansi was swayed when she was offered the same story but with a more commercial appeal.

She had flops being her and like every other actor wants a hit to keep being relevant (jus like SRK keeps messing with the movies offered to him or his getting out of SJS or Aamir meddling in the filmmaking process of his movies).

She didn't steal the movie from Ketan who was then in search of another A lister to take up the role abandoned by Kangana but didn't find any taker. Hell! He's no longer talking about doing the movie again.

As of 2017, he wanted Deepika for the role.

What I see is a very obvious pattern , of discrediting established well known writers / directors and take credit . Also to make her films totally centered around her and chopping of the role of her co actors .
Apoorva is a well known writer , not some greenhorn . She played dirty with him ..

Ketan just didn't get the offer to her , he discussed all his material / notes .. research for 10 yrs and just took it to a different financiar and kicked him out . This is so unethical.

Do you think a reputed director like Krish would have agreed to do the film , had he been told that post shooting if the female lead isn't happy and isn't in every frame .. you will be kicked out and you wouldn't even get credit by the name by which you actually ply your trade !

She is doing this constantly in her last 3 movies .. with her coactors , the crew and now even the director .

Ppl have such issues once or twice in their careers .. she seems to have it with virtually everyone .
