I was under the impression that a film has to recover its distribution costs as well as its budget in its domestic theatrical run in order for it to be called an average fare .. Anything above that is a profit & will bring it closer to hit/superhit/BB/ATBB status .. Anything below that means film has been rejected which appears to be the case with Manikarnika ..

As for Padmavat , it gave tremendous returns in terms of distribution costs & made profits over its budget in its domestic theatrical run .. Hence , the blockbuster status ..

Lol I am laughing. The same bunch complained to me the other day that I thought their fav in kangana thread even though it was for them as they always bring kangana in every unrelated thread and make their fav as victim. It was a taste of their own medicine. And I was right. They have brought their fav again as the forever fake victim in unrelated thread again as always. Yet you will see how next time they will shamelessly act again asking others why their fav is brought by others and keep lying how they are so innocent like their fav How they never do this and that. I heard the same. Still yet to watch the movie :( Haven't got someone to watch the movie with me as they don't watch Hindi movies. Waiting for a family member to get well as she watches Hindi movies.
