I am least bothered by what was discussed a few pages ago ..
Can I have an example of a film which was given a hit tag even though the film didn't even break even with its budget in its domestic theatrical run ?
As per the above quoted logic , a film doesn't even need to recover its budget to be deemed a HIT ..
Distribution costs matters .. It matters a LOT ! .. But that alone cannot be a parameter to determine fate of the film .. Satellite rights etc etc isn't taken into account to determine box office results .. It does help the producers but box office results ought to be determined on its own merit .. Distribution costs is just one of major contributing factors in determining BO results, not the only one ..
