I kinda trust Ayan enough that he wouldnt screw Brahmastra up. I have an idea in my head that it wont be like Krrish types but something altogether different. Shamshera on the other hand, I am not feeling confident about at all, YRF is a snoozefest.
Takht I really don't know if KJO can do a historical lmao but its gonna be a hit regardless.

Bhakt brigade wants all the Khans gone and replaced by Akshay, Ajay and the younger actors
That is the truth which this forum will deny so they can lecture abt srk and his movies but THAT is the ground reality

But Golmaals and Housefulls aside, they both have attempted to do good films na. Airlift, Padman, Raid, Drishyam etc were all well appreciated films which did not have them as this young romantic at heart hero kind of protagonists or had any set propaganda.
Shahrukh was appreciated for his role in Dear Zindagi and the fact that he was the only actor who agreed to play a supporting role in DZ in a film having a female protagonist.

When did he actually attempt something different than doing the same old loverboy he has forever been known for? I don't know about others but I personally would blame only and only SRK for his film choices. What stops him from doing something like Swades or a Chak De? He just doesn't want to experiment in anything except VFX. And even if he once in a while chooses a different script like Fan, he turns the character into a chichora just like he did in Zero. He just doesn't want to age onscreen and do age appropriate roles which is his big problem. He needs to realize that audience has evolved and they want to see something else instead of the same SRK pose in his films. Hopefully Saare Jahaan Se Accha is different and gives us a new SRK but I honestly can't trust his scipt sense anymore after Fan,Dilwale and Zero.

And another thing I've observed lately that no bhakt brigade can make a film a hit or flop. Otherwise Accidental PM would've been a superhit and Veere Di Wedding would've been a disaster at BO. Personally, yes both of them are smart enough to get into the good books of brigade but I still have to give it to Akshay and Ajay for doing things out of the ordinary while their contemporaries are still stuck in the 90's phase. They both remind me of Prosenjit's journey in Tollywood. The way he suddenly turned from a massy superstar to an actor with changing times. And probably why he is still surviving as one of the most loved superstars in Bengali film industry. Because he chose to evolve with changing times and adapt to the sensibilities of the new age audience- something that BW superstars are yet to do.

Nobody goes to theater to watch a movie coz of their political leaning.

Veere di Wedding did so fine this year. I was in India and I saw how lot of girls and youth were excited to watch it FDFS. Do you think 'Bhakts' approve of Veere types of movies? LOL.
My uncle is staunch Modi supporter. And my cousin watches all srk movies in theater. What you are saying is -- my uncle stops her from going to movies? LOL LOL. Doesn't work that way.

Make a good movie and it works. It's always that.

🤣🤣

Lo shuru ho gaya. When nothing works -- blame the Bhakts.

No. If movie is not Good, even patriotic theme won't work. Period!

Let's just put it down to my total mistrust of KJo.

We shall wait and see.

Again, the movie MIGHT be successful but only because Ranveer and Vicky. I don;t believe script/character/directing will be as good as it should.
Gut feeling. Nothing else.
I hope to God I am proven wrong ! 👍🏼

You are underestimating that Kjo has got his own fanbase who actually loves his movies. Ranveer, Kareena, Alia even Janhvi has got a fanbase who would go to watch this movie. These people might get bashed on this forum but in real world they actually got a good fanbase. Vicky is an up and comer has yet to get a loyal fanbase.

Kjo actually is similar to SLB in the sense that they both look at the overall beauty of frames, clothes, people and present everyting beautifully.. They tend to both go for larger than life grand sets, great music and in Kjo's case exotic foreign locales posh lifestyles.. and Kjo did not write the script. He gave a lot of importance to the writers and he has been saying the script is fabulous. The writers wrote something great I remember eceryone was raving about the writers at one point.

Kjo is a marketing genius if nothing else works that is a plus point. he sold a movie like ADHM and made it a hit whereas someone like Adi Chopra marketed Befikre the wrong way that people thought it was a sleazy sex comedy when it was not

All I will say is don't underestimate Kjo he is very astute.

For a long time, they hadn't gotten credit. They weren't mainstream. But even in the background, they did pretty well. Held their own.

I wish someone would make a movie about teen kids and issues come up with it. SRK, Amir, Ajay, Akshay -- anyone can play father role with Juhi, Kajol, Madhuri, Rani or Vidya in mother role. SRK would be great as middle class father cribbing over his kids.

There are tons of subjects that BW hasn't touched yet, sirf biopic biopic kare ja rahe hai.

Ab woh din dekhne ke liye toh aap sab ko buddah hona padega.😆 Don't think most of them are ready to play dad to teenager kids onscreen except Aamir who did for Dangal that too grown up kids.

I think Irrran was one of the few who would do age appropriate roles. I wish more male stars do the same. That's the reason I love Vidya. She unabashedly plays age appropriate roles and lage haathon creates these characters of middle aged women on screen which earlier used to be missing. Same with Rani and Kajol. They are atleast creating some characters for the middle aged population onscreen. I remember Sridevi telling the same thing during English Vinglish interview that if she had made a comeback with something like Mr. India or Chaalbaaz, no one would accept her doing all that lapak-jhapak and hawa hawai dance at this age. That's why she had to come back with English Vinglish which was believable. That's why she even danced like how a usual housewife would do in Navrai Majhi despite being a fab dancer. So that it's believable.

For all the kind of shit that female actors have to go through in this industry, I think they are way more ballsy, brave and experimental with their film choices than their male counterparts. Think of 60 year old Rajni putting on a wig and romancing some 25 year old heroine in an industry where the female actor's expiry date is already pre-decided.🤢

If I have to be honest - none of them.
Ranbir - Bramastra/Shamshera seem boring
Ranveer- I dont care for cricket so not interested in 83 and Takht is again same world as Padamvat/Bajirao

Varun's films seem safe and uninspiring.

Rajkumar film Mental seems interesting otherwise I am not interested.

True. Either I have to wait till I get buddha. Or I have to turn script writer. 😆

Vidya, Sri -- There's no comparison really. They are in their own league. And BW can not make EV again. They just can not. That movie is all heart ❤️ and much more than that!

The other day ladki badi anjaani hai was playing on TV and I am like, when SRK is young he plays father to a 8 years old but now, he doesn't want to. 🤔

Until I see a trailer, I never like a movie. So, here also... hadn't voted yet.

This year though, Zero's trailer was fun and movie dekhne ki ab tak himmat nahi hui. 😆
