I really dont have a taste for Rap songs. And this one is very difficult to understand. Overall, the camera work is nice. But, I didnot like the song.

lyrics were also mind blowing... I am so happy Ranveer got to do this role...thank you Zoya for making this for him...and of course Veer's talent is unquestionable...

This song is an instant classic, but man Ranveer. I heard him rap Meri Gully Mein on Famously Filmfare yesterday with Jitesh. He is so effin good pretty much rapping like a pro now. He has really honed his rapping skills. I am in awe of Ranveer the rapper.

Wow, such beautiful words...notice how he emphasizes each and every word...Ranveer is one of the few actors I know of, who has such an amazing diction and dialog delivery...This song is an instant BB!👏

The chorus is very catchy, it immediately gets stuck in ur head, and the lyrics are something alot can relate to, it's like the underdogs telling the naysayers that their time will come :)

Though I am not a rap music fan, it was the lyrics which drew me. It is a nice synchronisation of spirituality (summed up in one or two sentences) with rap. (Compare the lyrics to Mere Laundry Ka Ek Bill by Farhan. Of course, I am not commenting on top notch music of Shankar Ehsaan Loy or the guitar in the song). Ranveer may not be a great singer, but rap music does not need a great vocalist. (At least this song). So Ranveer seems natural.

I also noticed, lyrics are by Divine as well as Dub Sharma 😆. I have seen his Azadi video during JNU controversy days. No wonder, why Zoya picked him 😉. Anyway, lyrics of this song is good. I will keep my criticism for the other song aside (That will remain anyway).

Meh this beat is done to death. Maybe its nice for people listening to rap/hiphop for the first time. Hard lyrics though. Asli Hip hop had a better beat. Waiting for the album.
