It is an important film for Ranveer and here is this star kid waltzing into the film because Daddy and Mommy are best friends with Producer uncle. I wouldn't be surprised if Sushant is pissed too. We all will be if it happens to us at work. It is only human.

And what is this intimidated by ambitious women bullshit. That man is married to the most successful and ambitious woman in Bollywood.

Deepika even said in her Filmfare interview she was earning more than Ranveer and rs has no problem with it, she was more successful than him wen they started dating, so he is not jelous of successful and confident women

And maybe Ranveer is more used to more quieter women and being the center of attention, but here is this newcomer who's instantly gotten everyone's attention.

🤣 😆

Exactly. I mean, I don't even like Ranveer off screen but it is very evident that he admires Deepika for her success rather than being 'intimidated' and 'jealous'. But the Sara bandwagon is too strong, I suppose. 😆

Ranveer has no problem with strong women. He admires Deepika so much for her personality but also because she made it on her own.
I feel he does get irritated because Sara's starkid status is getting her the kind of exposure she didnt earn on her own merit. Also Sara is a minimal part of Simmba and its his first titular role. I myself am pissed at the undue accolades given to starkids even before they have released a film. Nepotism works both ways...if starkids get the unfair advantages, the public is also facilitating it by being curious about them without good reason. He's a bit transparent sometimes in his way of mocking her by the "tu to star ban gayi" chant. Its his first time collaborating with a fresh starkid na...I dont begrudge him his irritation one bit.

Its not that deep there is no jealousy or insecurity in him doing that. He called her lambi race ki ghodi and during BM he used to pat/pet his horse and since he was calling Sara meri lambi race ki ghodi he was patting her. When they started promoting together there was very little interaction n they looked distant and many pointed it out so they came up with this to break the ice n it worked. Both were willing participants on behest of the marketing/PR team.
Is it right? No I don't think so it looked super annoying but at times when he did not pat her she was the one who gave cues to him by bringing it up so whatever it was its a mutually decided thing.

For people asking would he have tolerated if it happened to deepika while she promoted he tolerated tamasha promotions n did not meddle so I think he leaves it to her discretion and does not meddle with her work n she does not meddle with his.

I don't think Sara became star just because she is a nepo kid. Compare her with Jhanvi, you will see the difference. She stood out mainly because of her personality. People on this forum usually bashes nepo kids left right and center. She smartly turned the opportunities in her favor which many starkids fail to do imo. If she was dumb, i don't think people would spare her.

First time he's met a girl whose IQ might be more than his ! 😆
Anyways, jokes apart, yes it looked irritating and I am glad Sara called him off on that. 😎

Thats just it isnt it...any non-starkid actor would not have gotten such kind of attention after one film even if they had a similar personality. People began to like her after she came on KWK with her dad...her "star" status is a viraasat mein mili thing. Like Ranveer said, Sara's turned more humble after Kedarnath. Now she's got a grip on her public persona, pics of her giving sweets and all are doing the trick too. Thats good. Some of the others like Jhanvi could take lessons from her. (I was hinting at Jhanvi earlier without mentioning her name TBH)
I am just seeing it from an outsider's perspective...there are so many young talented actors who dont a chance in Bollywood because of nepotism. It takes them years to get this sort of public attention. People like Ranveer and Sushant have every right to be irritated as long as they dont turn stupid and unprofessional about it.
Personally I just dont subscribe to stars. I admire good actors. Thats all. 😊

Whats wrong with this forum members? First Harsh, now Ranveer.
Too much overreaction. I thought it was a hilarious interview. And it was all done in pure jest! Sara is really a match for Ranveer in goofiness lol

Ofc its not just personality but everything is going right for her. She got rave reviews in Kedarnath and overshadowed SSR. People started noticing her even more. Then came Aank mare which is a mass fav. She started talking about Karthik and lots of other factors that she is working on to distinguish herself from others. Ranveer is already popular, i don't know how he would feel about that but SSR ruined his image long back to get such admiration.
