I cannot believe this debate is still going on. Everyone knows that all actors have PR. Its part of the showbiz. Its basic psychology tactics being used to get the common people to listen or read something over and over again until they begin to believe it, be it true or false.
All epithets like star, superstar, megastar begin as hypes created in media and if the actor continues to impress the audience for a period of time, the title eventually sticks.
This is media business tactics...all is fair game here. Thats why its called the "glamour" industry in a sense...as it glamours the actors from normal people to shining sitaarein. Ethics se kaunsa media business chalta hai mujhe pata nahin! 😆
But nowadays people are more sensible. Unless the actor keeps performing well, epithets dont make a difference. Film achhi hain to dekhenge warna nahin. Times are changing. Otherwise "King Khan" ki pictur itni buri nahin karti.
As long as RS conducts himself as an actor doing hard work and taking on versatile roles in good stories, I give two hoots to what his PR projects him as. The day he stops being a good actor, no amount of PR given stardom will help him in the BO. But that day is likely not to come so soon.😆
