If critics and hundreds of people (no matter if they watched the movie or not) tell you: no story, confusing story, illogical story, the 2nd half lets you down, boring 2nd half, this doesn't fit and that should have been left out, that will most probably influence you to not go to the theatre.

If critics and hundreds of people (no matter if they watched the movie or not) tell you: touching story, intelligent story, fairy-tale story, unconventional 2nd half with great climax, super performances, outstanding VFX, that will most probably influence you to be curious to watch the movie.

The so-called WOM is easy to manipulate, in both directions, you just have to leave out what doesn't fit the agenda and stress what fits.

And there will always be people who just tell what others told especially when it is negatif.

Sometimes it needs a second view to appreciate the quality of a movie. But always it needs the own experience to talk about the impression.

No, anjs, certainly not ;) (that would be ridiculous to think)

I mean that it is easy to manipulate people into a certain attitude towards a movie if one really want to do it.

One can stress the flaws of a movie or the strengths.

With Zero it was the flaws, with Simmba it's the strengths. The audience often is already prejudiced instead of watching with an open mind.

nothing to do with Kjo.

But this thing about world being against SRK, I am hearing since Dilwale.

Every time his movie is underperforming, it is fault of someone else.

Don't know about Karan...would not like to pinpoint the negativity spread about SRK and his movies on single persons.

Since My Name Is Khan, there are significant attempts in India to belittle SRK's cinematic work. Maybe it even has nothing to do with the filmindustry.

Edit: TL. no it's not the "world". it's in India. SRK doesn't "underperform" overseas.

He's just not smiling in the picture. I don't think he cares, he's happy with his VFX company's boosting business. Otherwise he must have started working on his scripts right after Dilwale or at least JHMS.

In my personal opinion, a good movie always gets its due, sometimes later but it does.. If some external factors do work to reduce the worth of the movie at the BO, the movie will still find love if only years after... for instance, I found FAN flawless but it flopped.. And did not get love later too.. So I will just have to agree that it did not click with the masses.. Raees was the most downloaded movie online.. So there is that.. You can say which movie is liked and which is not and not just solely by BO
