I just watched Laila Majnu, and wow he was amazing! and its just his debut film, he carried the whole film, Avinash should definatley get the best debut award unless there is a performance by a debut actor that can top it, coz ishaan was good in dhadhak but he was not at the level Avinash showed as Majnu

Haven't watched Laila Majnu so can't comment on that.

But Ishaan Khatter's debut film was 'Beyond The Clouds'.

I don't know how & why he won for 'Dhadak' instead.

well box office failure doesn't mean he didn't had a great performance binding the movie together, despite the plot and premise being as cliche as ever.😆

he was already there in Tu Hai Mera Sunday.
Not as a lead, that was Sobti.
But he was there.
So technically not eligible.

That guy actually acted well. He was so good in 2nd half and practically carried the entire movie on his shoulders.

I's not his debut film. He was also featured in a movie named "You Are My Sunday", there he played a supporting role and acted well enough. But for his performance in Laila Majnu, certainly he deserves to be in the best actor nominations at least. But alas! unfortunately the nepo kids and overrated stars will take over the vacancies.
