News of them coming together for a movie came in Nov. But Sarah started to discuss about Kartik after Simbaa shooting finished. It does look like PR.

I wonder whether Imtiaz wants this kind of publicity. If he wants, then why. The entire Tamasha interviews were big Tamasha. What is the need to promote the movie in that way? Simba is doing fine, without all these gimmicks. In fact Ranveer's DDD also never made any big deal out of his pairing with Anushka.

Audience are matured enough.

Esp given that she must have already known that he had a gf already.

Mayb learning from her seniors to use relationships to keep her in the news

I dunno I think this kind of publicity is pretty harmless.

It's not like Imtiaz has a great rep atm. He's become more synonymous as the guy who holidays in Europe on the pretext of making a film which ends up not making a lot of money 😆

When the original article came out, no one cared about this pairing. In fact people were more hung up about Sara getting her 3rd film before the 1st had even released.

But now PR/no PR Sara-Kartik are so cute and adorable there does appear to be hype for their on/off screen pairing.

If this film does go ahead I'm sure it's a win-win situation for everyone.

ok this clip shud clear up things, ranveer was asked bout wen he got sara and kartik to meet up at that event, sara is looking serious and asks ranveer to give the answer, ranveer said clearly that he thinks sara and kartik wud look good in a movie and he got them to meet to exchange notes about acting, so it seems they saw that people were taking it the wrong way and cleared that its not anything like that, you can even see sara whispering to ranveer to plz clear it all up lol

it was basically just a joke that people took too seriously

What does this clip have to do with the point I was making in my original post?

My point was there was news of Sara-Kartik potentially doing a film together before she started saying she wanted to date him.

Whether it's serious or a joke, no harm done and it can't be denied both mutually benefited from the hype. But it's difficult to ignore the coincidence that out of all the people she decided to "joke" about, it happened to be someone she might be doing a film with already.

my post is trying to make the point that sara doesn't really hav this massive crush on kartik, it started off as a joke and yes it may be coz they are doing a film together, but i guess people were thinking it was real thats why sara and ranveer made it clear that her and kartik only wanna work with each other as actors

for me i always saw it as a joke, i never took is seriously and just laughed at wat they were doing, i'm surprised that people took it seriously

and yeh maybe it was just to generate interest coz they mite be doing a film together
