ANushka Sharma - weak link

This is the third movie where Anushka has bought down the movie because of her acting. First was Bombay velvet. A very rich character she dumbed down with her superficial acting. Bombay velvet needed someone like Kangana . Then it was JHMS. The only facet of the character she bought alive was her annoyingness which can be the death knell of any rom com . And now Zero. Didn't she do her homework. She could have at the least studied how Kalki performed her role in MArgerita with a straw...,

She was annoying in Sui Dhaaga. You know you are really bad when you are overshadowed by Varin

Bombay Velvet was trash from beginning to end.

Other than her initial performance in Band Baaja Baraat and maybe NH10, I have never found a single performance of Anushka's where I was like "WOW, She really made me believe that character" or "That character is iconic".. NONE of her characters till date has resonated with me enough to think that I can't imagine another actress playing that role. None of her characters have gone down to be iconic. I mean, Kareena has a Poo from KKKG or a Geet from JWM. Deepika has Veronica from Cocktail, Mastani from BM, or Piku. Priyanka has Megha from Fashion, Jhilmil from Barfi, or even Kashi Bai from BM. Alia has Highway and Raazi. Kangna was Queen. There is not a single character of Anushka's that I can say was iconic to Hindi Cinema especially as she herself considers herself to be a better actress than all.

I don't think Bombay Velvet's failure had anything to do with Anushka's bad performance. The movie was downright disgusting, nothing good in that movie. Having said that I never find anything exceptional about Anushka's acting. She is mediocre in most of her films. The only good movies where I really liked her acting were NH10 and ADHM. I haven't seen zero or JHMS, so can't comment.

Her acting was decent in Sultan other than that she's pretty bland

Anushka Sharma's only noteworthy performance in my opinion was in BBB. She was good even in ADHM but there too she was this carefree bubbly type girl like in BBB.

Thank god for this topic. Otherwise all I see is overhyping her performance and calling her the best. She is the same as Parineeti who is so limited to only doing bubbly roles. She only has Shruthi to boast about just like Pari having Zoya. She is so overrated! She completely ruined Zero and the character Aafia.

As an actor I just cannot connect to any of her performances . She irritates me ...she makes these surly bitchy faces on the screen which are plain irritating . Its reached a stage where I just cannot watch any movie in which she is present , cause its plain annoying .
