And he had no airs despite being the 'star'. Don't get me wrong. I don't even watch his movies. The others on that table are more my cup of tea. But I do know that the masses don't agree with me and that his movies do well and earn much more than the others.

But that doesn't seem to affect him at all. He is one of those people who can get along with most people. I loved when they were discussing ' sona' (sleep) and RKR suddenly joked that Ranveer is wearing a lot of ' sona' (gold). Everyone laughed, including Ranveer and he said ' bhaade ka hai' 😆. Until that moment, I was finding his outfit and all that garish jewelry such an eyesore! But with that comment, he made me instantly loosen up about it.

I did find RKR arrogant but he has always come across as that. Even in his movies sometimes. But I still like him as an actor.

I am a Pankaj Tripathi fan and it was wonderful to hear his shudhh Hindi and thoughts on the subject. He is worth all the hype.

Ayushman is a very good actor and an equally relateable person. Liked his interaction.

Undecided on Vicky Kaushal yet. Will need to listen to more before I can make up my mind about him.

@Bold: Exactly!!!! I am one of those who felt distracted in the beginning but seriously, how could I..:(...To my defense, I did take it back later...:)

He is the only one who knew every single movie that was talked about there to the extent he could bring up the best scenes, dialogs from each of their movies, and applaud them for their acting...

I absolutely loved Vicky as well...For one,he seems to be a soft spoken person(my kind of guy- :) ) but also because he seems to be having tremendous sense of humor..It was funny how he kept a count of RKR's usage of the F word...😆...

RKR, like I said has a very serious tone to his talk but he is definitely not rude or anything...If you notice, other than Ranveer, he was the only guy who encouraged Vicky to speak...A rude guy will never care about others!

Wow! Thoroughly enjoyed it! Their camaraderie , earnestness and how they put it into words so well! All of them - Very insightful! I specially loved what Pankaj Tripathi had to say, that man is WISE!

Btw, can anyone tell me what movie was he refering to @ 31.53? I couldn't catch it. That lady and court wala scene he talked about...

Edit add: And what was that joke about fielding? 😆

Fielding as in sending the (not so) subtle messages to the directors about their desire to play in those biopics...It was the best part of the whole episode...😆...

Just watched it, was pretty uninspiring & lacklustre, only liked Ayushmaan he is a delight to hear, Pankaj Tripathi(I don't think he deserved a spot) & Vicky didn't speak much, Rajkumar definitely exudes that I am better than everyone vibe, damn I am glad that Ayushmaan's Badhai ho crossed his Stree both in terms of opening & LT😆

Ranveer was pretty much unbearable, he is like so annoying with his constant nose poking, greasing habits in that made up squeaky voice...
Hoping Actress' roundtable is better than this travesty.

I liked it. Wasn't the best roundtable ever but it was a good watch. I prefer these to one-on-one interviews.
Ranveer was okay. I like him and it was good that he knew others' movies and gave them compliments, but I did think he overdid that. I wasn't annoyed but I did notice that. This thing worked better with people like Akshay, Varun, Anil... that roundtable had the kind of vibe where this will be suitable. I felt like this made people uncomfortable, at least initially.

Pankaj Tripathi is a very very grounded person. I like listening to him talk. He's a good actor with even better insight into acting. I like the variety of a shuddh hindi speaker on the table. Very sensible and sincere.

Rajkumar - I don't think he was arrogant. Some people just want to focus on their work rather than get friendly. Which by the way, he admitted also. I don't think there's any issue with that. I like how passionate he is about films.

Ayushman is a nice friendly person. I don't remember getting wowed by any of his points. But he's just okay to be there.

Vicky was a waste of space. He's a good actor but he didn't have anything of note to say.

So many negative comments on Ranveer really? He was the best infact...humble, down to earth and makes the conversation interesting. Never once it looked like he is interrupting...But he encouraged and praised everyone.
This Roundtable is better than actresses fish market 2018. Rani was unbearable.

This was so much better than the actress round table. I had to switch that off within 10 minutes of watching. This one was really good. They all got along and supported each other. Lastly, I absolutely loved and respect what Ayushmann, Ranveer and Raj said about the metoo movement. I really like the new generation actors. Vicky and Pankaj didn't say much but you could see that they completely agreed with them too. Now this is how a round table is done.

Was it just me ... or was Rajkumar a bit arrogant ? Felt an undercurrent of overconfidence and arrogance

I can see why you'd think he's arrogant. But I think he just talks like that about things he's really passionate about. I did not find him arrogant at all.

It is a pattern, every time a ''big star'' like Aamir, Akki, Varun and now Ranveer come, they're bound to overshadow and I have seen some people getting annoyed over that😆
