Now, Mirror has learnt that following Subhash's exit, Aamir is back on board. "The script is close to Aamir and he wants to make the film. Bhushan and he have had a number of meetings since and decided to collaborate on Mogul again. The hunt is on for another director. They are also looking at finalising the cast so they can roll with the film, asap, informs a source close to the development. Buzz is, the 53-year-old actor could play Gulshan Kumar himself.

Rumor is that T-Series approached Hirani but he hasn't give them an answer yet.

The biopic in Gulshan Kumar - titled Mogul, has been in the news for quiet sometime now. The film, which reportedly stars Aamir Khan, made headlines last week, after the actor, who is also producing the movie, issued a statement of opting out of it, after allegations of sexual harassment over its director - Subhash Kapoor resurfaced.

Aamir and his wife Kiran Rao issued a joint statement about it which specified that the actor has disassociated himself from the project in all capacities. Today, after a week, a leading tabloid has carried a report which says that Bhushan Kumar has got back Aamir Khan on board as the producer and has ousted Subhash Kapoor from the director's hat. Kapoor was asked the step down last week. Both Aamir and Bhushan Kumar have been on a hunt for a new director.

Now, we have exclusively learnt from our sources that Bhushan Kumar has approached Rajkumar Hirani for the same. He met the acclaimed filmmaker two days back and showed him the script. While Hirani loved the script, he hasn't given his nod to direct it yet. "Mr. Hirani read the script and loved it. He is contemplating it. Aamir has also told him to think about it. Since they both share a great rapport, there is a possibility that he will step into the director's shoes. But as of now, nothing is confirmed, informs a source in the know.

To get some more details, we got in touch with Rajkumar Hirani's team and are waiting for a revert from them.
