Tanushree has done several bold scenes in her career but the very fact that she complained about touching inappropriately shows that she was uncomfortable doing it and was coerced into doing something she did not want to do.

Even if there are 200 people on set, in the excuse of a song , a couple of intimate steps and you can get away with it .

she was acting with Nana patekar which would have been a great boost for her downsliding career at that time, instead she walked away and complained about it..

I believe her story when I read it back when it came out and now when it has reappeared and she has spoken about it again

JUST like your arguments, Why did Tanushree not file complain against Nana Patekar back then itself? Maybe they were in a Relationship. SHE should prove she was not! Else, why did she agree to do the shooting despite knowing he is not in the song? She shud hv put her foot down at start itself!

Yes, she did...because it was the police who came to save her family and her out of this mess on the sets...by the time they arrived at the police station, the other party already filed a police report. She said her father and her staff members who were witnesses were called every month to the police station for question. She calls this harrassment because she said the day she left the industry, that's when they stopped calling them...both FIRs were dismissed. she also filed a complaint at the actors association.

Random thoughts on this issue:

1. Statistics:
While most of the allegations by victims of sexual harrasment (>90%) may be true. This one is a special case because:
Victims in general population may have social/financial restrictions to come out in open and pursue the allegations. They take this bold step mainly for justice.
But this is a case in show business. Victim doesn't have similar social/financial restrictions. News channels more than eager to follow these stories. There can also be short term fame involved.
I am not implying that- Tanushree is lying in this case. Just that- not correct to bring in statistics.

2. Confirmation bias:
It is wrong to assume that- Nana Patekar has done social work for farmers. Hence, he can never do such thing to any woman.
Every person has good and bad side. It is possible that he genuinely sympathises with poor farmers but is insensitive towards women.

3. Double standard of celebrities:
Farhan Akhtar likes to believe in Tanushree but not Kangana.
There were allegations of sexual harrasment against Priyanka Chopra's father (please google it if unaware), also against Rajesh Khanna (by Anita Advani). Have these daughters talked ill abt their respective fathers?
Same can be said abt Ganesh Acharya.
Celebrities generally are two-faced. Never to believe them.

4. What may have happened:
Based on what i have read so far, i tend to believe more in Tanushree.
Or, May be truth lies somewhere in middle: Nana did not have sexual intentions but it made Tanushree uncomfortable. And while it could still be sorted out, the involvement of goons ( may be called by Nana or producer) the issue became uglier.
Hard to form any rigid opinion.

But that does not undermine social work done by Nana Patekar which i feel is genuine. Unlike Salman Khan who had legal cases against him, Nana did not know that Tanushree is going to bring up this issue.

I think Tanu won't give up until action is taken...which is good...so many men are guilty of harrassing and torturing actresses, like Zeenat Aman, Rekha, Aishwarya, Katrina, Amrita Singh, Parveen Babi and so on...

It has to stop...If you notice it, its like they uses these women and then dump them as soon as they are done..and some of these women either leave Bollywood for good or end up with mental problems.

A few days back Vivek Agnihotri had tweeted how his nephew, who wanted to be an actor in hindi film Industry was sexually assaulted after he was introduced to the middleman of a top star and actor/producer. The nephew was sexually assaulted by some very powerful people.

Nana Patekar's comments and his behaviour indicate he does not care how powerful people are or what their reputation is.

Did Nana Patekar had a run-in with this/these powerful top actor and producer/director or his/her/their middleman ?

And if Agnihotri's tweets are to be believed, sexual assaulters of his nephew might be bisexual or homosexual ? It is not necessary the sexual assaulter/s be bisexual/homosexual. It could also be a heterosexual woman. Agnihotri was careful enough to use words like middleman, top actor and producer/director so as not to give away gender of sexual assaulter/s of his nephew. However if privileged Bollywood is to be believed women can never be a sexual assaulter. So be it. I agree to it to a large extent.

In Tanushree Dutta's interview reference has been made to MNS's(Maharashtra Navnirman Sena) "goons". Did these powerful possibly bisexual/homosexual sexual assaulter/s of Agnihotri's nephew also had a run in with MNS ?

Is Tanushree Dutta just a pawn who is willingly played by these possibly bisexual/homosexual sexual assaulters of Agnihotri's nephew ?

It would be interesting to know if Anurag Kashyap, Priyanka Chopra, Parineeti Chopra, Farhan Akhtar and all other similarly privileged bollywood persons tweet and come out in support of Agnihotri's nephew and against these possibly bisexual/homosexual sexual assaulter/s . And if not, why not ? Did they not come out in support of Agnihotri's sexually assaulted nephew because they know these possibly bisexual/homosexual sexual assaulter/s ? And are they coming out in support of Tanushree Dutta exactly for this reason ?
