the recent times that Bollywood has seen.
Salman Khan clearly failed to impress his
fans in Race 3 and they were left annoyed
with his performance and Remo D'Souza's
directorial strategies. Post the film released,
Twitterati bashed the film left, right and
centre. In an interview with PTI, Remo
admitted that there were glitches in the
story but he has seen worse films doing
brilliantly at the box office.
Well, he also added that they couldn't really
portray Salman's character in a grey shade.
"When Shiraz Ahmed wrote the script it had
the grey role. Race franchise is about grey
characters but we can't show Salman in grey
character and other things were also
happening. Because of all that. It just went
little..." Is Remo indirectly hinting that
because of Salman, the film didn't well? This
is a shocking statement that the director has
just given.
He also added that if the film was a dud at
the box office it wouldn't have minted Rs
180 crore in the domestic circle and Rs 300
crore worldwide. He is getting to terms with
the whole scenario and is trying to
concentrate on his next projects.
"Entertainment-wise we had great action,
songs, 3D, etc. People loved the action but
then suddenly trolls started. The action was
done by people who are masters in action...
Story-wise I agree there were glitches. But I
have seen worst films becoming a hit. There
were few changes that happened during
the shoot. The script got modified after
Salman came on board," he said.
