We all make mistakes in our life but that does not forbid us from being a good person. Then why do we judge actors for their mistakes and count them as weapons for proving as if they are not good human beings? Don't we all make mistakes? Why can't they make mistakes? And why do we have to judge them for it ? Because of the platform they are in? Or is it just our twisted sub conscious sadism that likes to nitpick on their skeletons inside their dark closets in order to talk about the so called ugliness behind the fame and "pretty wrapping" of commercialism. Does it give us some sort of happiness doing that?Do those skeletons necessarily always alter a common persons judgements on them as being bad or flawed human beings? And why does it necessarily? And what if they are flawed human beings, in their case , unfortunately talked about because of the public platform they have ?Aren't we flawed too? What if the whole world talked about us?What if we had to live in a world where millions and even billions of people liked to nitpick our mistakes and discuss about them and boldly criticize them and bring us down just cause they could or for fun. How difficult would it be to live in a world like that? Would it even subjectively be possible for us to survive?

Well, it is about how heavily invested people are in actors here. Americans have HW but they're not die hard fans of actors like here. They watch a movie and go home. But here people become lifelong fans of a particular actor. One thing I noticed when Priyanks went to American tv and when she was interviewed with her costars, they've often said that they wished they had fans like her aka Indians for fans,
Indian fans treat their favourite as some kind of god. Not all of them, goes without saying. But a lot of them. And gods cant make mistakes, right?
If they get undying devotion on the one hand, on the other they'll also get extreme reactions to mistakes as you say.

Part of the territory. When you put your life out for public consumption, you will get all the praise and all the brickbats. If you're talking about PC professionally, she has received a lot of praise for her work like Barfi, Bajirao and also a lot of brickbats for bad work like Zanjeer and Pinky hai paisewaalon ki. Personally where PC is concerned, she had said she would openly tell everyone when she's getting married, and now she has. The negativity around Nick and her relationship has a lot of faces to it, mostly because of different races, ethnicity, age difference etc. So it's just part of a public personality's life, by opening their lives to us we judge them.

Its human nature. Everybody loves commenting on stuff, especially if they dont like it. Half the ppl here who diss actors for their behaviours do it coz it somehow boosts their ego. Idk how it works, but it does. Present them with the same situations in real life, almost everyone will chicken outand behave the same, if not worse. Sonam recently posted about Aretha Franklin's death and her comment section was full of ppl reminding her about kerala floods. I want to know, how many of them have actually gone out n helped victims? But no, celebs kuch bhi karre, hume preachy banna hai, unko sikhana hai apne aap ko kaise project karre. It was Sonam's choice whether to post or not post about the floods. Her not posting would not halt the rescue operations or make thesituation worse there. So i dont get the point of dissing her for that. Truth is, dissing an influential celebrity and giving ur opinion on them makes one feel superior. This is true for all celebs, not just actors.

I agree with this to some extent but isn't it obvious when you put yourself up to the world you will face criticism ?
But obviously there are some morals which we all should have like congratulating the actors on their engagement or marriage or parenthood etc.
People like to hate on actors without having complete knowledge about their lives , haters choose to see the flaws, fans choose to not see it ,that's how it works. Noone can change it !
