I live in West Bengal, and have seen the phenomenon of 'Muslims celebrating Pak win' with my own FREAKING eyes. Come to Kidderpore and Park Circus when a Indo-Pak match is going on, and you'll get to know what is what. Apart from my personal experience, I've heard a huge number of people claiming to have seen the same across India and other districts of West Bengal, especially Malda and Dinajpur. They can't all be liars. It's especially prevalent in Hyderabad from what I've heard.

Yes, prejudice against a community in wrong undoubtedly, and nobody deserves to face persecution for their personal choices and preferences. But if the 'Pakistani' jibe hurts so much, then maybe the community in question should sometimes look within itself rather than blame outsiders all the time.

I have seen this thing in Lucknow too.
Apart from reading about people celebrating Pakistan's win in Muslim majority areas of the city, I have witnessed this phenomenon in my area as well, where muslims are not even in majority. There was muslim family who had rented a house in my neighborhood and the 3 lads of that family used to burst crackers on Pakistan's win in Indo-Pak matches. Obviously other people were enraged and started maintaining a distance from that family even though everyone used to be friendly with them before. Now even though, I didn't hear them being called Pakistani, I wouldn't be too surprised if such Pakistan sympathizers would have been called that. Rehte India me hai par khushi manayenge Pakistan ki jeet par

P.S. - I have other muslim friends also who celebrate and pray for India's victory during any such matches and they have never mentioned being called a Pakistani or Pakistan supporter...

I like how the majority is like, this must be your hallucination, or minority must have done something to deserve this. 👎🏼

I like how the minority is like, "Oh everything is the majority's fault".
Sorry for being salty, but I've personally had enough of this 'the majority are heartless demons to poor minoritizzz' shit.

Not everyone is out to get minorities. Not everyone complaining about certain actions of some members of the minority is a BJP bhakt or Muslim-hater. STOP IT.

I live in Kerala and I have witnessed Muslim people celebrating Pakistan's win in Ind-Pak match...that was the shock of my life..I can't tell how bad I felt..till that day I never cared about religions and all but something in me changed that day..Yes I am all in for secularism and a firm follower of Sree Narayana gurus

"One in Kind, One in Faith, and One in God is Human

But some of the minority people doing such cheap tactics on one hand and playing the victim card on other hand gets on my nerves sometimes.
Yes Muslims being called Pakistani sometimes is also a fact. I have witnessed such incident twice in my life..one was my Christian friend jokingly telling my Muslim friend that she would have to go to Pakistan if BJP wins the election and I was the one who felt offended..I gave him a lecture that day...other one was on fb, a Hindu guy calling a Muslim guy porkistani but that day I coudnt intervene because the muslim guy was unethically defending Pakistan...

I thought 100-12 = 88%😉

And next time when any of your HINDU friends call you pakistani' , you must retaliate and call them a nepali'.

People will only relate to their personal experiences. But I can tell you guys one thing. There are some just really dumb people in this world. Case in point- My aunt is an MA pass from a village but she was a rattamaar.
There was this time we went to Zakir Nagar in Delhi and were looking at ladies' dress materials in a shop. That area is Muslim majority and the shopkeepers were obviously Muslim form their dressing style and all. And she asked them "Where do you source your clothes from? Pakistan?" And we were like flabbergasted and really worried like.
She's dumb af so if someone takes that to heart. Well...

See, there was a time when we used to visit all these places and mosques and dargahs too if they're famous, also temples and gurudwaras just to get an idea of things for ourselves, having never had Muslim neighbours or anything.
But now I feel stereotypes are not so untrue after all. And am less inclined to always fight ofr others. Who knows what's in someone's heart.
All we ask is justice and fairness but when someone will all privileges cries wolf too often...
