This thread is so revolting...Kya se Kya Ban Gaya. I am very happy for Ranbir for his success ...he got a character to show case his talent ...for him it's just a character which he played as an actor with total justification. I wish he refused the role but it's his choice ...atleast he didn't terrorise people or murder people.
My only problem is Sanjay Dutt himself he lead to killing of people because of his actions ..and it's very clear from the movie itself how hard the director tried to mask all his deeds as self security ...and few comments here are so insensitive towards the murdered people.

The movie never showed him and his dad having licensed weapons and why he accepted weapons from known gangsters because then it would have become extremely difficult to paint him as a gullible man - child. No one is questioning the law here. All some of us are saying is that the movie makers conveniently left out certain uncomfortable facts which helped in showing Sanju in a different light altogether. They even showed a gangster coming to Sanjay, giving him prasad, and showering over him the certificate of being 'different and brave'. I mean LMAO! The whitewashing was done in the most in-your-face manner.

Bollywood 'laver': Let me try this with you. Sanjay Dutt had licensed arms, so how do you swallow the fact that he kept a banned firearm for self-protection? Plus, are you sure what 'ILLEGAL possession of arms' mean?

I don't blame Ranbir for this. He just played according to director's vision. Blame lies only with Hirani (and his team of scriptwriters) for the whitewashed portrayal of Sanju. So far, criticism is also towards Hirani only, not towards Ranbir.

Of course blind hypocritical ranbir fans will turn a blind eye to how much ranbir loves Sanjay dutt, he has time and again stated that he is a big fan, even before the biopic came his way, and he in every which way is all for glorifying this man, but yeh whatever floats people's boat 😆 and it is funny how arrogant people are, the makers are wrong, the court verdict is wrong, the audience is wrong, the industry is wrong, only they and their conspiracy theories with zero proof is the truth.

There are people who pity for the rights of Palestines, Kashmiris, Pandits, Rohingyas so many. Should we say the same thing?

Depends who you going to blame that on? Sanjay dutt? because if so then yes the same applies here, selective reading much? pitying victims is one thing but using something like this for trolling celebrity purposes is something entirely different.
